We had not even finished our initial tour of the tables, taking some photos of our Day 2 participants, when we heard the “all in” from table 17.
The player who made the preflop shove was Maximillian Droege, who started Day 2 with only seven big blinds. He found a caller in Krasimir Zhekov, who also shoved with a larger stack, a warning to anyone else at the table that he wanted to be the only other player in this hand. The table obliged him, and the two flipped their hole cards.

The flop came down a , and Krasimir’s pocket jacks held up. He was now 15,000 chips richer to start the day, and the rest of the table got ready to play some poker.
