Low stack at table 84, Pierre-Anthony Langlois just risked it all.  From an early position Krzysztot Chmielowski raised 1,600, preflop. Joseph Lupoi, and the table’s big stack, Yuan Li, both called. Pierre-Anthony, who had just joked about a series of bad beats that had drastically reduced his chip count, raised to 7,500.

Krzysztot and Joseph both called, and Yuan folded. The flop came down 5 of Spades King of Diamonds 8 of Hearts. Krzysztot and Joseph checked and Pierre-Anthony pushed all of his remaining 9,500 chips into the pot. Krzysztot folded and Joseph called.

When the players turned over their cards, Pierre-Anthony showed Ace of Clubs Ace of Spades. But when he saw Joseph’s Queen of Clubs King of Hearts, Pierre-Anthony moaned, “Oh-nh, he has an out.”

But the dealer flipped the 10 of Hearts on the turn and immediately revealed the river 2 of Clubs. Pierre-Anthony sighed, happy to see another hand.

Event #2 Main Event prize pool and payout table

    2018/11/01 | 18:17 by Playground Poker

Event #2 in the 2018 WPT Montreal Festival – the Main Event – was a $5,000 + $300 NL Hold’em tournament with one online Day 1, 3 Live Day 1s, and featured Day 2 registration until the end of level 10. The event had a $5,000,000 guarantee, and the 792 total entries failed to meet this number. Therefore, the prize pool is based on the Guarantee number, not the prize pool generated by participants. 103 places will pay in the event with a min-cash of $11,400 and a top prize of $855,000.

Here is a quick recount of a hand just played at table 95 that was won by the big stack at the table, David Quang. Preflop, Xuan Liu raised to 1,200, and both David and James Elliot Husain called.

The flop came down 5 of Diamonds Ace of Diamonds 3 of Hearts, and Liu wagered 1,500. David and James called. When the dealer revealed the turn 2 of Spades, all three players tapped the top of the table once again. David showed his Ace of Spades Jack of Diamonds. His pair of aces was superior to the results of Liu and James. Both of them shook their heads, and returned their hole cards to the dealer.
