Montrealer, Rodney Ramalho, who won the 2015 DeepStacks poker tour championship, raised to 3,300, preflop. After everyone else at the table folded, fellow Montreal native, Maxime Theroux, who was the 2017 WPT Montreal champion, called.

When the flop came down 8 of Clubs 7 of Hearts Queen of Hearts, Rodney wagered another 3,300. Maxime called. When the dealer revealed the turn 3 of Hearts, both players checked. When the river was dealt 10 of Spades, the two Montrealers checked once more. After Maxime showed his Jack of Clubs 10 of Hearts, Rodney returned his hand to the dealer, unable to beat Maxime’s pair of tens.
