At table 36 there was another short stack shoving for his tournament life. Unfortunately for him, there was no double up, but an early exit. The player in question was Gregory Katayama, who shoved preflop for 31,000. He found a caller in Amir Shami.

Gregory: 10 of Clubs Ace of Diamonds

Amir: King of Clubs King of Spades

The board was dealt 10 of Hearts 5 of Clubs 8 of Diamonds Queen of Spades 4 of Clubs, and Katayama grabbed his jacket and headed for the exit, losing to Amir’s pocket Kings.
