Dave Graham opened to 1,100,000 from under the gun, and Said El-Yousfi made the call from the small blind. With Ace of Hearts 9 of Spades King of Clubs showing on the flop, Said checked first to act, and then went into the tank when Dave moved all-in for 5,125,000. After cutting out some calling chips, Said deliberated for a moment before siding them forward.

Dave tabled King of Spades 10 of Spades for a pair of Kings, and was in rough shape versus the Ace of Diamonds 10 of Hearts of Said. With no help on the 6 of Clubs turn and Queen of Spades river, he was sent to the cage to collect his 6th place payout.

Said has now jumped into the chip lead, playing nearly 30,000,000 at the end of level 36.

    6th place: Dave Graham – $40,000

Sebastien Lepine was on the hunt for another double-up here on this final table of the WPT500, as he found himself at the tail end of the leaderboard. He moved his 3,200,000 stack in from early position, and Said El-Yousfi made the call from the button.

Sebastien: King of Hearts Queen of Clubs
Said: Ace of Spades 8 of Spades

Said took a huge lead on the flop, and ended up knocking out his opponent on the 10 of Spades Ace of Diamonds 6 of Hearts 5 of Diamonds 10 of Hearts board to bring the field down to 6 players.

    7th place: Sebastien Lepine – $31,000

    Hall makes the hero call

Thomas Hall is distinguishing himself with his play today, and his recent hero call is just the most recent example of this. We arrived at the table with the river already dealt – the board read King of Hearts 5 of Hearts 9 of Clubs 7 of Hearts 10 of Hearts and Said El-Yousfi had made a 1.5M bet from early position. Action moved to Tom.

It took him some time to make the calculations he needed to make – he used up his initial 30 seconds plus 3 time chips to make the decision – but all the while his therapeutic massage continued and he kept on slowly shuffling a small stack of blue T25,000 chips. He only stopped shuffling to count out the chips it would take to call, and then resumed shuffling…

Before too long, though he stabbed 1.5M stack of oranges on the felt. Call.

Said: 6 of Clubs 6 of Diamonds
Tom: King of Spades Queen of Spades

It was clearly a tough call to make on a 4-heart board, but he was absolutely right – and he stacked a nice pot.

    Aces hold for Goncalo

Miguel Goncalo opened to 2,000,000 from middle position, and Trevor Argue defended his big blind. Heads-up on a 10 of Hearts 2 of Spades 9 of Spades, Trevor checked, and Miguel moved all-in for 7,500,000. After a moment of thought, Trevor slid forward some calling chips and hands were tabled.

Miguel showed down Ace of Clubs Ace of Spades and had only a ten to fade, as Trevor flipped over Ace of Diamonds 10 of Clubs. The dealer rung out a 7 of Clubs on the turn, and a 5 of Hearts on the river, and Miguel’s rockets held for the win, sending him north of 20,000,000 chips and into the chip lead.

    Big double up for El-Yousfi

Said El-Yousfi moved all-in from late position in an unopened pot, and was called by Thomas Hall in the big blind, who instantly opened Ace of Spades Ace of Hearts. Said tabled a trailing 9 of Diamonds 9 of Spades, but found a set on the King of Hearts 9 of Hearts 10 of Clubs 4 of Spades 5 of Hearts board to score a key double-up.

Said was holding 8,425,000 chips to start the hand, and has climbed the leaderboard with that pot. Thomas saw his stack cut in half, and now holds around 8,000,000 chips.

Two of the shorter stacks on this final table have just found key double-ups, and Sebastien Lepine and William Blais are proving to be hard to eliminate.

Sebastien bested Ace of Clubs Ace of Hearts with his pair of 3 of Hearts 3 of Spades, as he ran a straight on the 5 of Diamonds 6 of Spades 4 of Clubs 7 of Spades 5 of Hearts board to double his 1,675,000 stack.

Shortly after it was William Blais who doubled up with King of Hearts King of Clubs over the 9 of Spades 10 of Hearts of Trevor Argue. William now has over 7,000,000 after the hand, bringing him back into contention.

Play remains 8-way with Trevor at the head of the pack.
