The Day 1B field has breached the triple digits in the last level, with over 120 players now registered in this flight, including 6 re-entries. There will be a short break following level 4, at which point we will publish the first leaderboard of the night.

The players in Day 1A of the WPT500 took a break recently and we were able to get refreshed chip counts of the leaders going into the final stint of the day. Each Day 1 is set to play through 16 levels – the break following level 12 was the final break of the Day.
Thomas Zanot has again taken the lead with well over 200K in chips to this point in the flight, and the players behind him still waiting to hit the 200K mark. There’s still plenty of time for someone to catch up, though – and then some!

Level 12 just wrapped up and the event is now rolling towards the final stint of the Day. The 244 entries have now been reduced to 98 players. Here are some photos taken during level 12.
The first level of play has been completed in the WPT500 Day 1B, and registration has climbed up to 92 runners so far tonight. Players can register or re-enter the flight until the start of level 11, at roughly 11:35pm.

The second live flight to the WPT500 is now ready to take off, and the brand new poker hall at Playground Poker Club has been opened for the first time! This new addition to the club currently features 41 poker tables in a beautiful spacious room, located at the back of the regular tournament hall.
Level 1 has kicked off and so far there are over 55 players at the felts, with more streaming in by the minute. Late registration will remain open through the first 10 levels of play, with each flight allowing players a single re-entry.
The WPT500 features 5 more starting flight following tonight’s Day 1B, allowing players multiple chances to claim their share of the massive $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Late in level 9, Mathieu Boulanger-Vaugeois got the better of Donald Maloney after Donald went all in from late position.
