The players in Day 1E are on a break, and following this break registration will be closed – for this flight and for the entire WPTDeepStacks event.

The leaders going into the final 3 levels of this Turbo flight are mostly hovering around the 100K mark – except for Timothy Banks, who has amassed almost 150K!

The tournament hasn’t been a break during which we could get a complete picture of the current leaderboard, but a survey of the tables in play suggests that Matt Durand is the current chip leader with a stack approaching 80K so far. There are many others who have built up healthy stacks as well, and the nature of such a Turbo flight is that the volatility increases as players get closer to the end of late registration.

Play has now begun in Day 1E of the WPTDeepStacks event, and just a few minutes in to level 1 there are 37 entries at the tables – and climbing. This Turbo flight will effectively serve two roles in the tournament – first, to keep growing the prize pool that players will be competing for in the event, and to give players a final chance to qualify for Day 2, set to begin at 3:00pm.

Good luck to everyone playing this morning!

WPTDeepStacks Turbo Day 1E begins in minutes

    2018/11/03 | 9:43 by

The final starting flight in the $1,500 + $150 WPTDeepStacks event in the 2018 WPT Montreal Festival is set to begin at 10:00am, just minutes from now. The event has already seen 775 entries join the fray through the first 4 Day 1s – easily surpassing the guarantee – which means that every single buy-in today will simply add money to the prize pool.

The Turbo flight will play through the same number of levels as the “regular” flights – 12 – and will start with the same 30,000 starting stack. However, each level will be just 15 minutes in length, and there will be a single break following level 9. Registration will close at the end of this break – until that time, players are permitted one entry and one re-entry.

There are already 229 players qualified for Day 2 in the event, which will get underway at 3:00pm this afternoon. A seating draw will be made available as soon as it is available.

Good luck to everyone playing today.
