Event 11 Champ!

Event 11 had 180 total entries and the size of the field, the quality of the players, plus the 30-minute blind levels added up to a marathon tournament that took well over 13 hours to play down to a winner.

But eventually there was a winner, and the winner had amassed a dominant chip stack relatively early in the event and nurtured and grew it all the way to the end.

1st place: Randy Khalil, $8,100 plus the bracelet

1st place: Randy Khalil, $8,100 plus the bracelet

Through the bubble and beyond…

The bubble ended up taking a while to play but it finally burst and the next 4 players were eliminated in short order.

  • 18th place: Justin George Baxter, $400
  • 17th place: Ryan Smith, $400
  • 16th place: Jeremy Chandler, $475
  • 15th place: Pablo Mariz, $475

Bubble time!

They’re down to 19 players and 18 places will pay, so it’s the “hard” bubble. A mitigating factor in a bounty tourney is that shorter stacks may have already earned a few bounties, making it slightly less significant.

Or not – it doesn’t seem to be having too big an effect!

Down to 27

Event 11 is down to 27 players and there are some very large stacks on the tables.

We’ll be posting more photos and some counts as the tournament gets deeper.
