Mega Overlay! Your last chance to win a seat for the PG500

2017/12/15 - 19:52 by Jôle Simard

Tonight will be held another Mega Overlay Satellite. Mega Overlay means that the house will be adding 10 seats to the prize pool, making the tournament a must-play for anyone looking for good value.

No matter what size your bankroll is, this $70 + $10 satellite event is your chance to get in the Playground 500 for just a few dollars, and with the 10 added seats, navigation to qualification will be that much easier to do.

Last night was held an identical satellite tournament, and the buy-ins generated 16 seats. The 10 added seats represented a 62.5% extra value! What more can a poker player ask for?

Win your seat tonight, and play in one of tomorrow’s PG500 flights, Day 1B (11am) and Day 1C (7pm). 33 players qualified through Day 1A this afternoon, and were added to the 7 online qualifiers. Join them by lasting 14 levels in one of tomorrow’s flights, and see your name on the Playground 500 combined results list, found here in the results section.

Day 2 is held on Sunday at 1pm, and Day 3 on Monday at 7pm.

See you tonight, and good luck!

In a hand that produced a huge pot, Denis Cyr took out Peter Johnson Messer. The last of the chips went in on the river, which had filled Denis Cyr nicely.

Denis Cyr: Queen of Clubs 10 of Clubs
Peter Johnson Messer: Ace of Hearts 9 of Clubs

Board: Ace of Diamonds 6 of Clubs 7 of Clubs 4 of Diamonds 8 of Clubs

With this pot that we estimated to be larger than 350K, Denis is now a serious contender for the biggest bag of the day.

Tonight will be held another Mega Overlay Satellite, and it is your last chance to earn a seat in one of tomorrow’s flights for a fraction of the cost. Yesterday’s Mega Overlay Satellite produced 26 seats, 10 of which were added by the house! And yes, tonight’s tournament will provide the same added value.

The last few hands of the flight are now being played, after which players will bag their chips. The qualifiers and their stack will be added to the Playground 500 combined results, which can be found here.

Making a good read is satisfying, but making a bad one and coming from behind is just as profitable. Walter Asatoorian raised Kris Klimosko all-in on a flop that could not be farther than his hole cards.

Walter Asatoorian: King of Hearts Queen of Spades
Kris Klimosko: King of Clubs King of Diamonds

Board: 4 of Diamonds 8 of Spades 6 of Spades 9 of Spades King of Spades

Asatoorian transformed his 6.26% into a full double-up.
