When the entries and re-entries from both starting flights were added up, the total prize pool came to $103,305 which will be distributed according to the following table. $25,000 up top!

The players have just taken their break following level 8 in today’s starting flight and during the break we surveyed the room for the largest stacks currently in the event. Leading the pack is Maxime Theroux, followed closely by Mike Lafable and a little further back by a few other players.

The end of level 6 has come and gone and with that comes the end of late registration and the re-entry period in the final starting day of the $500 + $50 NL Hold’em Deepstack Re-entry tournament.

There were a total of 123 entries today (including 15 re-entries), which means the total number of entries in the event adds up to 213, which will yield a net prize pool of over $100,000! Tournament staff is working on the payout schedule at the moment and we’ll publish official prize pool and payout information as soon as it is made available.

The players in the $550 Deepstack are now taking their first break of the day. As is the case with most tournaments with a $500 or more buy-in at Playground, late registration will continue for 2 more levels once the break is over – unit the end of level 6.

There are currently 102 total entries in today’s flight including 3 re-entries.

After a slight delay this morning, action in Day 1b of the $550 Deepstack Re-entry tournament has now begun. 57 players have taken their seats to start the day, but as usual, around 50% of the field will late register so the numbers should grow by quite a bit. Indeed, players continue to jump in the action every few minutes.

Today is the 2nd of 2 starting flights in the $500 + $50 NL Hold’em Deepstack Re-entry tourney. Yesterday’s Day 1a saw 90 entries join the tournament, and today should see that number and many more players trying to qualify for Day 2 tomorrow evening. There were a significant number of online qualifiers, most of whom have not played their ticket yet, and any player who was determined to fire a single bullet in the event would tend to choose the final starting day – a formula that adds up to solid numbers expected today.

A player could choose, in this tournament, to fire two bullets, as this tournament allows both an entry and a re-entry in each starting flight. The re-entry period ends at the same time as late reg – at the end of level 6. In other words, players have until 2:15 to either enter or re-enter the tournament.
