The second flight to the All-Stars for Starlight charity event is well underway, and 76 players are currently registered so far tonight. Late registration will remain open through until the end of the first break, giving players up until 9:10pm to jump into the action.

The $25 entry fee from every registration in this tournament will go directly to the Starlight Children’s Foundation of Canada. In addition, there is a $100,000 prize pool guarantee for this multi-flight event, making this one event not to miss!

Two more flights are scheduled for tomorrow, with Day 1c set at 11am tomorrow, and Day 1d at 7pm. Don’t miss your chance at taking home a piece of the prize pool!

The players in Day 1a are back from their first break of the night and although it’s early in the affair for anyone to have built up a huge lead… two players have done just that.

Denis Scott is the first of these two, and Denis – who was in the ICM chop of this afternoon’s Win the Button tournament as well – is way out front playing just a shade under 100K in chips after just 4 levels. Second in chips is Albert N, who has already amassed over 75K in chips!

Luckily for the rest of the field, there’s still plenty of time left tonight to catch up to these tournament rabbits!

As well, registration has just closed in Day 1a and there were a total of 145 entries in this first (and traditionally smallest) starting flight in this $100K Guaranteed event.

The players have taken their seats and the tournament director has given the command to the dealers to shuffle up and deal, and without any further ado, action is underway in the All-Stars for Starlight tournament!

Remember – late registration is open until the end of the break following level 4 – or until about 9:10pm tonight. Considering the normal tournament registration pattern here at Playground, the field will grow significantly between now and the end of the registration period.

Welcome to Day 1a of the All-Stars for Starlight event

In just a matter of minutes, players will take their place around the table to begin the journey to a huge first prize in the $100K Guaranteed All-Stars for Starlight tournament!

This tournament is special for three important reasons:

First, the $25 tournament fee from every single entry in the tournament will be added to a large donation that will be made to the Starlight Children’s Foundation of Canada.
Second, the event is hosted by Playground Poker’s Director of Charitable Initiatives, hockey legend Larry Robinson! Larry will visit us several times during the event, and will also be playing at least one starting flight – we’ll announce which one when he takes his seat!
Third – there’s a $100,000 Prize Pool Guarantee! A huge guarantee such as this is a great indicator of a great event to come!

Late registration will be available until 9:10pm tonight, and if you can’s play this evening you can join us tomorrow at 7:00pm for Day 1b or on Friday at either (or both) 11:00am or 7:00pm for Days 1c and 1d.
