Co Tran had been patient, but at this point his pair seemed more than good enough to roll the dice with. He shoved his handful of big blinds, but got called by Edery whose hole cards needed redeeming:

Co Tran: 5 of Hearts 5 of Diamonds
Edery: 10 of Diamonds 10 of Spades

Board: King of Clubs 2 of Spades 6 of Clubs 2 of Clubs Jack of Spades

Co Tran finishes 8th, worth $3,510. Not a bad pay!

Dan Edery, after his 2-pair got undone by Sahyouni, was forced to fold to a couple of 3-bets. When he raised again, Makan Salimi raised him all-in for about 2M chips. This time, Edery was not folding.

Edery: 10 of Hearts 10 of Clubs
Salimi: Ace of Clubs Ace of Diamonds

Board: 8 of Spades 3 of Diamonds Jack of Spades 6 of Diamonds Queen of Diamonds

From massive chip leader, Edery now has less than a million chips. Salimi, however, has almost caught up to Sahyouni.

When Brent McCue looked at his cards, he decided they were good enough to invest with. In late position, he fired all-in in an unopened pot, but Salimi found a premium hand.

McCue: Jack of Clubs 10 of Clubs
Salimi: Queen of Hearts Queen of Diamonds

Board: 6 of Spades 5 of Hearts King of Hearts 2 of Clubs 10 of Hearts

McCue picked up a coupon worth $2,640. Good parlay!

Fadi Haddad played a solid game tonight. He was seen earlier in the evening making a good call against Dan Edery after Edery put some pressure on him in position, using his stack to do so.

Haddad had just bought the blinds with an unknown hand, and shoved again on the following hand. This time, Edery isolated him by going all-in himself. They went to the board heads-up:

Haddad: 10 of Diamonds 10 of Spades
Edery: Ace of Diamonds King of Hearts

Board: 6 of Diamonds King of Diamonds 3 of Spades King of Clubs Queen of Spades

Haddad took $2,180 for his quick final table appearance. Well done!

Every position is now a pay jump. While these words were being written, Karl Sahyouni caught a set of aces on the river against Edery’s 2-pair, and is the new captain with about 4.5M chips.

With Bao Ngoc Phu and Tam Ho’s recent elimination, the Playground 200 moved to its 10-handed final table. Phu was taken out by Dan Edery, who was more than happy to get his chips back. Tam Ho’s jacks were taken out by Karl Sahyouni’s ace-queen. Both took $2,180 for their efforts. Congratulations!

Sahyouni has now over 2.5M in chips and is getting close to Dan Edery, who is still our chip leader with about 3.5M. Grant Ellis has a little over 2M, and Joël Giguère just breach the 2M barrier.

Bao Ngoc Phu raised all-in from the small blind, and got called by Brent McCue.

Phu: King of Diamonds 4 of Spades
McCue: 7 of Clubs 7 of Hearts

Board: 9 of Diamonds 2 of Diamonds Ace of Spades King of Hearts 9 of Spades

This pot brought him to almost a million, which were put to work on the following hand. This was a raised pot against Dan Edery, the actual chip leader. Edery bet out 225K on the flop, and Phu raised him all-in for value.

Phu: 9 of Hearts 9 of Clubs
Edery: Jack of Diamonds Jack of Spades

Board: 4 of Spades 7 of Diamonds 3 of Spades 9 of Spades 6 of Diamonds

Phu now has a very healthy top 3 stacks. Meanwhile, Jean-Bernard Morency got taken out. His stacks had been below 5 blinds for quite a while, and he finally had to settle for $1,740, one position short of the desired pay jump.
