Frenkel pulls the upset to stay alive

    • Level: 3

    2018/03/23 - 20:13 by Jôle Simard

Genia Frenkel was down to her last 5K when she found a suited ace. After 2 players limped in, she threw her chips forward. Jean-Pierre Guay was the on;y one to call her, probably figuring her range was pretty large and was looking to get lucky or re-enter.

Frenkel: Ace of Diamonds 2 of Diamonds
Guay: Ace of Clubs 9 of Diamonds

Board: King of Diamonds 8 of Diamonds 10 of Diamonds 3 of Spades 7 of Diamonds

Gin on the flop! Frenkel will have to save her money for better use. Meanwhile, Jonathan Dsouza, on another table, was flopping his own flush. He gained almost 20K in that pot. When Deveshkumar Patel called 9K on the river, we did not get to see his hand, but he did say that he had flopped top 2 pair on the board:

King of Clubs 3 of Spades Ace of Spades 4 of Hearts 8 of Spades

    Dsousa: 9 of Spades 7s

    Genia Frenkel
    Jonathan Dsouza
