As soon as Serge Roy and Dany Debs became the last two players, the clock was stopped so that the gentlemen could discuss a possible deal. The players asked the tournament director to figure out what the ICM chop was.

As is customary during events, in any deal, a minimum amount has to be laid aside for the champion. In this case, the amount was set at $260 minimum.

At this point, chip leader Dany had 1,690,000 chips, whereas Serge had 880,000. The numbers came back and both men quickly agreed to a deal that would give Dany $2,652 and Serge $2,415.

Suzanne Lussier squeezes by to nab the 3rd position

Quiet as a mouse, Suzanne Lussier was letting the players pick each other off one by one, while she nursed the smallest stack on the table. With a few good spots where she was able to scoop up enough chips to get by, she was very happy to move up in ranks by getting out of the line of fire.

But, when she was left alone to face the big bad duo of Serge Roy and Dany Debs, with only 80,000 chips, she knew she needed a miracle. Quite a few actually.

The lovely lady had no other choice put to push her meagre belongings in front of her, holding King of Spades 4 of Clubs. Serge pounced on her with a quick call, without even looking at his hand. When he turned over his hand, he laughed and said, “well, you can’t say I’m not giving you a chance”, and showed 9 of Clubs 2 of Clubs.

The flop did nothing for Suzanne: 3 of Clubs 10 of Clubs 6 of Diamonds except make her cringe as all the clubs were added to Serge’s outs. An Ace of Spades on the turn changed nothing. But then a small 2 of Diamonds on the river dashed all hopes of continuing for Suzanne, and she was sent to the rail in 3rd position. Considering the amount of chips she had in front of her during the last few eliminations, she was quite happy with the results.

The clock has been stopped to discuss a possible deal between Serge Roy and Dany Debs.

    3rd position: Suzanne Lussier, $1,740

End of the line for Guillaume Daleux

Immediately after Kuoch got eliminated, Daleux became the newest victim of Roy-Debs gauntlet. With the terror-inducing duo racking up all the chips on the table, pretty much everyone else was short stacked.

Guillaume Daleux’s case was no different. Backed up against the ropes, Guillaume pushed all-in with King of Diamonds Jack of Clubs. As expected, got a call from Dany Debs, holding 4 of Hearts 4 of Spades.

The flop 9 of Hearts 9 of Clubs 7 of Clubs was not what Guillaume wanted, but at least he had dodged one of the two 4’s in the deck. Ironically, when a 4 of Clubs came out on the turn, Guillaume had honed in on the suit only: clubs! His hopes were crushed quickly when Dany pointed out that the third club was a four…he already had a full house and Guillaume was drawing dead. The 3 of Spades on the river changed nothing and that signaled the end of Guillaumes run tonight.

    4th position: Guillaume Daleux, $1,310

Roy knocks out Kuong in 5th place

Together, Serge Roy and Dany Debs are having a spring cleaning. As the eliminations keep coming, it’s either at the hand of one or the other.

This time it was Serge’s turn to push Kuong Chhe off the train. With very little chips left, Kuong Chhe barely glanced at his 5 of Diamonds 6 of Diamonds. At this point, and in his situation, those cards were like gold. He wasted no time shoving all-in and got a call from Serge.

Serge’s hand was more than enough to make the call, so he didn’t even hesitate with Ace of Hearts 7 of Hearts.

Both men tabled their hands and the dealer ran the board: 8 of Spades 10 of Clubs Jack of Hearts Ace of Diamonds 4 of Hearts .

The ace was enough to send Kuong Chhe home.

5th position: Kuong Chhe Kuoch, $990

Foster sent to the rail in 6th position

William Foster’s adventure came to an abrupt end when his suited king ran into Serge Roy’s pocket tens.

Both players were all-in preflop and tabled their hands:

William: 2 of Hearts King of Hearts

Serge: 10 of Hearts 10 of Clubs

The flop was dry : 3 of Diamonds Jack of Hearts Jack of Spades . At this point, the best thing for David, aside from a king, would be for the board to pair. Unfortunately for him, the turn 5 of Clubs and river Queen of Spades offered no solace and the young man had to leave the table in 6th position.

    6th position: William Foster, $750

Dany Debs is taking no prisoners.  Holding rockets, he sneakily called action pre-flop until two unsuspecting souls went all-in.

Margaritis Haralambos: 8 of Spades Queen of Hearts

John Toth: 4 of Hearts 4 of Clubs

Dany Debs: Ace of Spades Ace of Clubs

Board: 2 of Hearts Queen of Spades Jack of Spades 6 of Clubs 10 of Spades

Dany covered both players and then there were 6…

    8th position: John Toth, $430

    7th position: Margaritis Harlambos, $570
