After 12 levels of play, Day 2 of the WPT500 has come to an end with 35 players finding a bag for tomorrow’s Day 3. So far players have secured a payday of at least $3,750, but all eyes are on the cool $200,000 top prize. A top 15 finish will earn a 5-figure payout, with the top 2 taking home 6-figures each.
Geoffrey Hum (pictured) found the heaviest bag through 2 days of poker, ending Day 2 with 5,670,000 in chips. Second in chips belongs to Vasilios Gerontakos (4,405,000), while Trevor Argue (4,025,000) bagged the third biggest stack.
Full counts of the remaining players will be published momentarily, along with the Day 3 seating assignments. There will be a full seating redraw at 24 players, 16 players and for the 9-handed final table.
Join us tomorrow for live coverage of the conclusion of the WPT500, as we play down to our tournament champion. Cards are in the air at 12pm.
