Daniel Gagne out in 3rd
The WPT Canadian Spring Championship Main Event is now heads up between John Paul Tabago and Jason Comtois, as we just lost Daniel Gagne in 3rd place.
Daniel turned a straight with on a board, and got it all-in versus John Paul’s set of . He needed to fade a few cards to win this huge pot, but the on the river paired the board, giving John Paul the win.
Heads-up will begin in a few minutes, and here is how the chips stand:

We just lost 2-time final tableist of the Montreal WPT Sylvain Siebert, as he just got into a betting war with Alexender Wong preflop. Alexender opened the pot from the cut-off to 240K, and was faced with a 3bet to 660K from Sylvain. He then 4bet to 1.2M, to which Sylvain responded with a shove of just over 2.7M. Alexender made the call, and seemed a little surprised to see what Sylvain went all-in with.

The board was interesting for both of them, but mainly for Alexender, who flopped a full house on the flop. The turn gave Sylvain a little more life, bringing the , but the river sealed the win for Alexender, who is now hovering around the 8 million chip mark now.
We are now just one elimination of our official final table of 6.

Johnny Mazzaferro opened from UTG+1 to 260K, and saw his bet get raised to 1M by Mario Lim. Brent Wheeler then moved all-in from the big blind for just under 1.1M, followed by a fold from Johnny and a call by Mario.
