Rodney Lawrence has been eliminated in 11th place, meaning that the final table of 10 players has come together. Play will continue tonight until there are 6 players remaining – the official Final Table in WPT events.

Pierre Guenette is the player who eliminated Rodney although many had tried earlier today as Rodney spent most of the day playing with a very short stack. We missed the preflop action but on the flop of Rodney bet just over 200K and Pierre flat called. The turn came the and Rodney again led out – for 375K this time. Pierre immediately announced he was all-in and Rodney called very quickly.

The changed nothing and Pierre’s middle set was good. He covered Rodney, who was eliminated from the event.

Sitting in middle position, we just saw Johnny Mazzaferro place his remaining 1.365M chips all-in, and go heads-up with Daniel Gagne from the big blind.

Johnny turned over , and needed some help to win against the of Daniel. The flop was dangerous, but still very good for the sixes, as it showed , and with blanks on the turn and river ( and ), Johnny doubled up to over 2.7M.

We are still just one elimination away from our final table of 10.

Following a hand where Ami saw just over 1 million of his chips go towards John Paul Tabago (where the of Ami lost to the on a board), Ami found himself all-in with his remaining chips versus Alexender Wong.

The board was good to Alexender, showing the , and Ami busted in 12th place.

12th place: Ami Alibay, $13,292

Holding a stack of 740K, which is less than 10BB, Matthew Brunskole took advantage of an unopened pot as he shoved from the button. Unfortunately for him, Marco Caza had a hand to call from the big blind.

The board ran out , and Matthew’s ten-high flush was second best to Marco’s jack-high flush, thus eliminating him in 13th place.

13th place: Matthew Brunskole, $10,675

There haven’t been any eliminations since the last break (through half of level 29) but that’s not to say that there hasn’t been any action! The chips are flying around the final two tables. Matthew Brunskole lost two relatively small pots in a row, leaving him short – but then tripled up after getting it in with pocket tens a few hands later. Ami Alibay had also been getting relatively short until he doubled through Alexander Wong just a few minutes ago to go to about 2.6M in chips.

Frederic Bunchan was just caught with his hand in the cookie jar, as he bluff-shoved the river and was called. The hand began with him limping in from the button, and seeing a flop with the blinds, Daniel Gagne and John Paul Tabago. All three checked the flop of , and Daniel lead out for 80K when the hit the turn. John Paul folded, and Frederic bumped it up to 160K, which Daniel called. The river was the , and after Daniel checked, Frederic announced he was all-in for his last 650K. Daniel tanked for a few minutes, and finally made the call.

The hero call was good, and Frederic was eliminated in 14th place. Daniel now has an impressive 6.3M stack.

Simon Quintal has been flying under the radar for most of the later stages of the tournament, never the chip leader but never short-stacked either.

That changed after Rodney Lawrence raised all-in from middle position and Simon called from the button.

The flop came to put Rodney well in the lead. The board ran out and kept him there – he doubled to over 1.2M in chips on the hand.

With just around 200K left in chips, Simon found a way to fold for a few hands before getting it in UTG holding . It folded back to the Big Blind (Brent Wheeler) who called.

In a heated battle of the blinds, we saw Maxime Theroux get his 975K stack all into the middle versus Mario Lim, who had him covered by almost twice that amount.
