Une fois que les joueurs étaient dans l’argent, nous avons vu beaucoup plus de mouvement de jetons, ce qui a résulté en de nombreux éliminations.
Gaving Smith et Ravi Raghavan étaient les premiers à partir, sortant avec le prix minimum de ceux payés. Jean Philippe Piquette a collecté un autre gains, lui donnant un total de trois dans ce Classique Automnale, quand il a été éliminé pas trop longtemps après la bulle. Champion de WPT et joueurs légendaire Shawn Buchanan était aussi un des premiers éliminé.
Antonio Esfandiari a essayé de faire un tour de magie avec 
, et a misé tout son tapis avec avant la flop. Malheureusement pour lui, Darren Elias l’a appelé avec 
et a eu un carré sur la flop.
Entre temps, quelques autres joueurs bâtissaient des empires avec les jetons qu’ils accumulaient. Cinq d’entre eux on terminé la journée avec plus de un million de jetons, et le plus gros tapis appartient au joueur professionnel Ludovic Lacay, qui a ramassé beaucoup de jetons en sortant Byron Kaverman vers la fin du Jour 2. Ludovic a prèsque gagné un title WPT quand il a terminé 2e dans le WPT Spanish Championship Barcelona Main Event, et il est sûrement très motivé de remporté la victoire içi à Montréal, et de rammener la Ceinture du champion du WPT Montreal à son domicile en France. Il a aussi un titre EPT qu’il a ramassé en gagnant le EPT San Remo Main Event en 2012.
Jonathan Little, un joueur très expérimenté dans les gros tournois internationals, a eu un bon dernier niveau de jeu après avoir été assez calme au courrant de la soirée, et a terminé avec un peu plus d’un million. Pas loin derrière lui sont Guillaume Darcourt, qui a deux titres de Champion du WPT, et Amir Babakhani, qui est notre Champion du WPT Montreal de ce printemps. Yann Dion, un joueur féroce provenant du Québec qui commence à être reconnu internationalement pour ses performances récente, tels que son apparition à la table finale du PCA et son bon résultat dans le WSOP Main Event de cet été, s’est aussi qualifié pour le Jour 3 avec un bon tapis.
Griffin Benger, un phénomène du poker en ligne (connu comme Flush_Entity), revient pour le Jour 3 avec un tapis moyen. Il commence à se démarquer sur la scène de poker live, finissant premier dans le EPT High Roller Berlin pour un titre EPT.
Un autre champion EPT, Kevin MacPhee, se trouve un peu en dessous la moyenne. Mais ce jour très doué sait comment travailler un petit tapis pour en sortir gagnant s’il le faut.
Victor Ramdin, Mohsim Charania et Lily Kiletto se sont aussi qualifié pour le Jour 3, mais sont parmi les plus petits tapis. George Caragiorgas et Carter Swidler ont terminé avec un peu moins que le tapis moyen.
En tout, 59 joueurs reviendront pour le Jour 3, et demain le tournoi se poursuivera jusqu’au 27 finalistes.

Day 2 Wrap Up

Once players were in the money, we saw a lot more movement with the chips, which resulted in a string of quick eliminations.
Gavin Smith and Ravi Raghavan were amongst the first to be eliminated, collecting a minimum cash each. Jean Philippe Piquette picked up another cash, giving him three total in the Fall Classic, as he also finished shortly after the bubble burst. WPT Champion and legendary poker pro Shawn Buchanan was eliminated not too long after.
Antonio Esfandiari decided to try a magic trick with and 4-bet shoved a nearly average stack preflop. Unfortunately for him, Darren Elias made the call with and flopped quads, eliminating Antonio, who increased his total earning by 0,027%.
Meanwhile, other players were building empires with their recently acquired chips. The day ended with five players sitting above the million chip mark, and the chipleader is poker pro Ludovic Lacay, who picked up a massive pot near the end when he called off a bluff versus Byron Kaverman. Ludovic came close to winning a WPT title back in October 2007, when he finished runner up to Markus Lehmann in the WPT Spanish Championship Barcelona Main Event, so he is surely determined to go for the win and bring that WPT Montreal Main Event Belt back to his home in France. Since then, Ludovic has won a major title, placing first in the EPT San Remo Main Event 2012.
Seasoned poker pro Jonathan Little cruised his way into the money comfortably, and he remained relatively quiet until the last few hands of the night, where he shot up the leaderboard with a few big pots. He ended up bagging just over 1 million chips, which doubles the average stack. Right behind him in stacks in 2-time WPT Champion Guillaume Darcourt, past WPT Montreal Champion Amir Babakhani, and a little further back is Yann Dion, a fierce player from Quebec who is making a big name for himself with his recent performances, such as a final table at this year’s PCA Main Event, and a deep run in the WSOP Main Event this summer.
Sitting around the average mark is online phenomenon Griffin Benger, or Flush_Entity, who is making a successful transition from the virtual table to the live felt. Earlier this year he won his first major title, finishing first in the € 10,000 EPT High Roller Berlin.
EPT Champion Kevin MacPhee is still in contention holding 31 big blinds, although he lost a considerable amount of his stack near the end of the Day 2. However this experienced tournament player has the ability to work with any stack and run it up to go for the win.
Victor Ramdin, Mohsim Charania and Lily Kiletto also made it through the day, but are coming back as some of the shorter stacks tomorrow. George Caragiorgas and Carter Swidler bagged and tagged their stacks as well, and are both a little below the average, but still deep given the structure.
In the end 59 players were left with chips and a seat at the end of Day 2, and tomorrow the day is scheduled to end when the field falls to the final 27.

On est maintenant dans l’argent içi au PartyPoker WPT Montreal Main Event, et les 99 joueurs qui restent sont maintenant garantie un minimum de $5,531! Mais pour la majorité d’entre eux, ceci n’est qu’une étape nécessaire à franchir en chemin pour leur but ultime, le titre de champion du WPT, qui vient avec un prix de 517,049$, un siège pour le WPT World Championship, d’une valeur de 15,400$, et la Centure du Champion du WPT Montreal!
une membre du Playground Poker Players Club, Valerie Ross, n’était qu’à deux place de se classer dans l’argent quand elle a poussé ses derniers 10 big blinds avec 
. Patrick St-Onge, qui avait un gros tapis et était dernier à parler dans la main, a fait l’appel avec sa paire de 
. Le tableau était 
, et après avoir montré un peu d’enthousiasme avec le roi sur la turn, Valérie a laissé un petit soupire passer quand la rivière donna la couleur à Patrick. Mais elle a quitté la table avec un beau sourire, et a félicité les autres joueurs encorede sa table.
Au moment ou le directeur de tournoi a annoncé qu’on commençait de jouer main-pour-main, il y avait une grosse main qui se déroullait sur une autre table, résultant en la dernière élimination nécessaire avant d’être dans l’argent. Malheureusement, c’était joueur local Sebastien Drolet-Poitras, le meneur en jetons au début du Jour 2, qui était éliminé dans la main, finissant en 100e place.

The Main Event is In The Money!

We have just reached the money here at the PartyPoker WPT Montreal Main Event, and the 99 players that remain are now guaranteed a minimum cash of $5,531! But for the most of these players, this was just another step they had to pass on the way to their ultimate goal, the WPT title, which comes with a whopping $517,049 prize, a seat to the WPT World Championship, worth $15,400, and the WPT Montreal Champions belt!
Playground Poker Players Club member Valerie Ross was just two spots away from making the money, as she pushed in her last 10 big blinds in with , and was called by Patrick St-Onge from the big blind, who was holding and a more than healthy stack. The board ran out , and although Valerie was happy to see the king fall on the turn, she gave out a little sigh when the river gave Patrick the flush, but she walked off with a smile, and congratulated her tablemates.
Just as the tournament director announced that hand-for-hand play would start, there was another all-in at a different table which resulted in the bubble bursting. Unfortunately it was local hero Sebastien Drolet-Poitras, the tournament chip leader at the start of the day, who came out short in the hand and finished in 100th place.

Grosse main juste avant l’argent

On a perdu Vincent Jacques 5 places avant l’argent, qui était un de nos plus gros tapis il y a pas trop longtemps. Vincent, qui a fini en 2e place dans un évenement WSOP en 2010, est consideré comme un des meilleurs nouveaux joueurs professionnels du Québec.
Il était placé sur le boutton, a mit une petite mise de 13K après que tous les joueurs avant lui ont couché leurs main. Darren Rabinowitz a poussé all-in pour plus de 300K du petit blind, et Vincent avait une grosse décision à faire avec son tapis de plus ou moins 270K. Après avoir hésité pendant longtemps, il a commit ses jetons, et se retrouvait bien en avance.

Avec un total de 862 entrées, les premiers 99 seront payés, et donc avec le tableau indiquant qu’il reste 106 joueurs en vie, la bulle approche vite. Il y a eu beaucoup de mouvement de jetons aujourd’hui, mais ce c’est calmé un peu maintenant qu’on approche l’argent.
Des joueurs notables éliminés récemment: Anne Marie Angelil, Jeff Coté, Will Failla, Greg Ostrander, Martin Jacobson, et Xuan Liu.
