There was a clear chip leader for most of the last passage of play, but on one of the last hands before the break Joel Huberdeau – whose stack was over 220K when most of the others are hitting the 80K mark – lost a huge hand to Pascal Beaulieu, who now sits on over 250K. Joel is still quite healthy in the tournament, as are Chin Hour and Allin Jobin.

Here are some early photos from the night:

    Win the button!

Of all the “alternative” tournament formats that we run, the “Win the button” might be the most popular. How it works is simple – instead of orbiting around the table one hand at a time, the button goes to the player who won the previous hand. If a player wins three hands in a row, he or she will have the button three hands in a row.

The tournament tonight is a $100 + $10 event and is a one-day bracelet event, so it will finish later this evening (or more accurately, early tomorrow morning). The capacity of the event is 150 players and there are still seats available, so come out to Playground and jump in the action!
