We saw Marco 3bet to 350K from the big blind after a raise to 125K from Serge in the hijack, and a flat from Derrick on the button. All three players went to the flop, which showed , and Marco, first to act, open shoved his stack of over 2 million. Serge made the call, and Derrick let the two battle it out heads-up.

The turn and river didn’t change anything, and Marco was eliminated in 8th place for $68,992. Not a bad score for a satellite winner! Serge is now closing on the 7M chip mark.

Alexandre Lavigne, the short stack of the final table, just doubled up, as we went all-in under the gun for 1.05M and was called by Amir in the small blind.

We’ve just lost another player here at the final table of the WPT Montreal Main Event, as Ludovic Lacay got all his chips in on the turn, with the board showing , and was called by Sylvain Siebert.

Ludovic had a lot of cards he needed to fade to survive the hand with his two-pair, and unfortunately for him it was the that fell on the river, giving Sylvain a higher two-pair. Ludovic collected $51,817 for his final table run.

9th place: Ludovic Lacay

We’ve just seen our first elimination on this final table of the WPT Montreal Main Event, as Antoine was eliminated after getting his chips in best.

Mukul Pahuja raised from the hijack position to 125K, and Antoine called from the big blind. The board was , and Antoine checked to Mukul, who put out a bet of 240K. Antoine tanked for a minute, and then announced all-in for a little over 1M in chips. Mukul snap called, tabling his overpair of , which were behind Antoine’s for top two pair. The turn however changed everything, as it was the , and Antoine was now drawing dead. The meaningless hit the river, and Antoine was sent to the cashiers to pick up his $38,135 score.

The tournament is on break for a few minutes here at the unofficial final table of 10 players at the PartyPoker WPT Montreal Main Event, and although we haven’t seen any eliminations yet, there has been plenty of action.

Ludovic Lacay opened too 100k from late position, and saw Mukul Pahuja 3bet to 240K. Ludovic then min 4bet to 380K, at which point we saw Mukul slide what seems to be 600K, but Ludovic snap mucked his hand before the dealer got around to counting the bet.
