  • We are back from the second break of the night, with play resuming in level 9, and although many players have jumped ahead of the average, no one has really separated him or herself from the field yet. The current chip leader is Yannick Grondin, who holds a stack of nearly 120K, and he is followed closely by a dozen other players all above the 100K mark.

This was the last break of the night, and after the completion of 5 more 30-minute levels, the tournament will go on break until Day 2 tomorrow afternoon.

The last flight of Event 1!

The fourth and final Day 1 of Event 1 is about to start, and people are lining up at the cashier in order to secure a seat to what is looking to be a full house! The $100K guarantee set by Playground Poker Club has already been surpassed in the first three flights, with a total of 992 entries prior to tonights Day 1d, and we can expect to add another 400 or so entries to that grand total.

So far 244 players have qualified for Day 2, which will be held here tomorrow, Sunday May 18th, at 12pm. The average stack of the remaining players is just over 80K, and play will resume at level 14 – 1,200/2,400/a400.

Late registration will remain open for the first 4 levels tonight, so until roughly 9:40pm, but with 254 entries showing on the board 15 minutes prior to the tournament start, we could expect to see the seats fill up rather quickly.

Good luck to the players in tonights Day 1d!
