Justing Miller fell to just below 1 million in chips before getting all of them into the middle with . He was up against the of Robert Notkin, who has been running quite well so far in this tournament.

Robert outflopped Justin on the flop, but the running gave Justin the winning hand, who doubled to around 2 million.

Vincent Jacques just took down another massive pot, as he called off Thiago Nishijima’s triple barrel semi-bluff.

Jacques raised from the button to 125K with , and was called by Thiago from the big blind holding . The flop brought out , and Thiago check-raised Vincent’s 125K bet up to 300K. On the turn, Thiago led out for 500K, which was called by Vincent. On the river , Thiago put out another 500K pot, and Vincent had to tank before finally committing the chips to win the hand.

With that pot Vincent is nearing the 4 million chip mark.

Francois Goulet was facing elimination at the very end of Day 4, but managed to make the winning hand on the river in an all-in flip with Antonio Esfandiari to survive onto the official final table of 9. He had a fierce start, eliminating James Armstrong in 9th place with a set of kings versus a set of fives. But a few orbits later he one again found himself with a short stack.

Sitting on just over 1M in chips, Francois 3bet jammed over Thiago Nishijima’s 135K open, but unfortunately ran himself into a tough spot.

With no help on the board, Francois was sent to the rail after a nice run in this Main Event.

8th place: Francois Goulet, $48,880

After losing a huge pot to Rayan Chamas a few orbits ago, Vincent Jacques is now running his stack back up. He just took almost 1.4M back from Rayan after he snap called Rayan’s 4bet shove preflop.

Vincent had the hand locked in by the turn, with the board showing , and he is now near the 2.8M mark.

For the second time tonight, we saw two players flop a set against each other. This time it was Ankush Mandavia and his that had Justin Miller’s crushed on a flop of . Neither player slow-played the hand, and they found themselves all-in on the flop. The turn and river changed nothing, and Ankush doubled up to around 1.8M.

Rayan Chamas just took a big pot off of Vincent Jacques. Il all started when Vincent opened preflop from UTG+1, and got the call from both Rayan in the small blind, and Robert Notkin from the big blind.

On the flop, Rayan led out for 175K, and got the call only from Vincent. The turn brought the , and Rayan led out again, for 350K this time, and Vincent called. On the river, Rayan took a few moments before moving his whole 1.205M stack into the middle. Vincent hesitated for a while, but eventually made the call.

Rayan tabled for the nut straight, and Vincent mucked for two pair. With that pot, Rayan moved up to over 3.7M in chips.

It’s a little bright on the final table with all the stage lights, but Rayan Chamas is prepared for this, as he brought a nifty pair of orange shades today.

In just the 4th hand of the action today, James Armstrong has been eliminated by François Goulet. The hand was pretty much a perfect storm – perfect for François, anyhow.

James opened the action from the button holding and François thought for a minute before putting out a 3-bet to 180K holding . James simply called the raise.

The flop was dealt: – both players had hit their set! François kept the betting lead, putting out a bet of 110K that James flat called. The turn was the , and François elected to check. James bet 125K after a few minutes of hollywood, and François raised to 275K. James threw out a little more acting before deciding to raise all-in – and François snap-called by jamming down a stack of big chips in front of him.

James saw the bad news and hit the rail in 9th place.

The Final Table of the Main Event in the PokerStars Canada Cup will begin play at 11am EDT on May 28th, 2014. The action will be presented via live stream with hole cards visible on a one-hour delay starting at 12pm. There was a seating redraw at 10 players remaining. With the elimination of Antonio Esfandiari in 10th place, the official 9-handed final table is now set but there will NOT be an additional redraw.
