With Shijaudin Daud Sha’s elimination in 8th place ($930), our 7 finalists are now decided. They are now taking a 10-minute break, which allowed us to bring you the seating charts with full counts:

After the bursting of the bubble, as expected, the shorter stack were chanting all-in in unison. A few very recent eliminations:

Mathieu Leclerc: 12th – $660
Spiro Plagakis: 11th – $710
Nizar T: 10th – $770
Michael Chouinard: 9th – $840

Chouinard was on the big blind when William Blais min-raised, first to act. Chouinard committed his stack:

Chouinard: Ace of Diamonds 5 of Hearts
Blais: Ace of Hearts 8 of Hearts

Board: King of Diamonds 4 of Clubs Queen of Hearts 10 of Hearts 2 of Spades

We are now 1 elimination away from the 7-player final table.

After a backbreaking hand-for-hand session, players have finally reached the money. During that period, Shijaudin Daud Sha and Lorne Wechsler battled a few times, with chips going back and forth, but never committing all. Sébastien Labbé and Michael Levy got most of the pots on one other table, while William Blais literally abused the last table, raising all-in shamelessly every second hand, or more.

In the end, it was Patrick Secord who bit the dust on the bubble, when his short all-in was called by Sébastien Labbé:

Secord: Jack of Spades Jack of Clubs
Labbé: Ace of Diamonds Queen of Hearts

Board: 8 of Clubs 3 of Clubs Queen of Spades Queen of Diamonds 6 of Diamonds

The long hand-for-hand period left a handful of players with very few chips, and these are expected to roll the dice sooner than later.

Chaimowiz on a comeback

  • Level: 17
  • Small Blind: 2.5K
  • Big Blind: 2.5K
  • Button Ante: 2.5K
  • Chip Average: 151.7K
  • Remaining: 15
  • Entries: 91

Harry Chaimowiz only had a few chips left at the break, but since then has managed to double up 3 times… on the same guy! Here is the last of those hands – a pre-flop showdown:

Harry Chaimowiz: Ace of Diamonds King of Clubs
Nikola Isaev: Queen of Hearts Jack of Clubs

Board: 6 of Spades 8 of Hearts 3 of Spades 6 of Clubs 5 of Hearts

Chaimowiz is not out of the woods yet. He asked for one more double up, which would bring him to about average.

There are only 17 players left in the 6-Max tournament, and 4 of our top 5 stacks are sharing a table. Michael Levy, our current chip leader, is on it. It is a very tight cluster at the top though, making for an interesting dynamic.

After playing countless hands together, Mathieu Leclerc took out former chip leader Nader Ammar. This was a pre-flop all-in:

Mathieu Leclerc: Jack of Spades 8 of Diamonds
Nader Ammar: King of Spades 6 of Spades

Board: 5 of Diamonds 8 of Spades 2 of Diamonds 5 of Hearts 9 of Spades

Ammar’s elimination allowed the breaking of another table, leaving only 3 in the hall.
