On top of the 76 places paid, there’s a chance that someone will make a little extra today with the partypoker LIVE free roll.

The last player in the field wearing the partypoker LIVE patch will automatically win a $530.00 final satellite ticket for the upcoming MILLIONS North America. But you don’t have to be the last player in the field wearing the patch to get some of the value added by partypoker.

Joining My partypoker LIVE to get a patch from the representatives here on site and linking it to your real money account will get you a free $22 satellite ticket, valid for the next 7 days on partypoker. That’s some free money for entering a free roll… What more could you ask for?

Day 2 starts soon!

2018/02/25 - 11:56 by Shawn McCrory

The tournament hall is filling up as the players take their seats for Day 2 of the Playground 200.

This three-day event has been a great success with 607 total entries, creating a prize pool that easily passed the $100,000.00 guarantee. There are 126 players still in the running, and they will reach the money bubble this afternoon, as 76 players will cash this event.

The players will grind it out over the course of 14 40-minute levels today, and tomorrow’s Day 3 will play until one player claims the $22,286.00 first prize.

Good luck to all!

Playground 200 – Day 2 seating draw (with counts)

2018/02/24 - 21:06 by

Play in Day 1C in the Playground 200 came to a close earlier this evening, and when the dust settled following the three live Day 1s and the single online Day 1, 127 stacks had qualified for Day 2. One of those qualifiers was a player who had qualified twice – this player’s smaller stack has been removed from play and 126 players will take seats tomorrow.

The following table is the official Day 2 seating chart and includes player-provided counts for each player. Although we do our best to verify that each player’s recorded number is correct, the actual stack is sealed in a bag and players will resume the tournament with the same chips they bagged up at the end of their Day 1.

The prize pool and payout structure for this tournament has also been published – see it here: Playground 200 Prize Pool.

When play resumes on Sunday February 25th at 12:00pm, the tournament will be in level 15 – blinds 1,500/3,000/a3,000. There will be 9 players per table and play will continue through 12 levels on Day 2.

Day 1C wrap up

2018/02/24 - 19:09 by Shawn McCrory

Play has just finished on Day 1C of the Playground 200. Today was the final starting flight for this event, and it drew a great turnout with 218 total entries. The large field put a huge number of chips in play so there are several huge stacks that will move to tomorrow’s Day 2. By the end of level 14, 42 players remained to bag chips.

Given this tournament’s format – extended late registration as well as unlimited re-entries – the early levels were reminiscent of the previous Day 1s with loose and aggressive play. But in contrast to the other Day 1s, the action seemed to simmer down as the day went on. By the time we had reached level 14, most players were simply counting their stacks and waiting to get them in the bag.

The dramatic development of the late levels was the clash between the two big stacks at the final break, Shawn S and David Bonneau. When the dust settled, Shawn S emerged victorious with over half a million chips, giving him an huge chip lead over the field.

See the combined results for all Day 1s in the event here: Playground 200 Combined Day 1 Results

When the blinds were 600/1.2K, the action was opened from early position by Kevin Daily to 4K. His raise drew three callers, and the four players saw the flop of 2 of Hearts 2 of Diamonds 2 of Spades. Not much of an action flop, right? As it turns out, it was!

Daily continued his aggression with a small lead bet of 4K on the flop. That bet picked up two callers before the action came back to Douglas Best, who check-raised to 12K. Daily immediately called and the other two players folded. Best continued his line on the 5 of Spades turn with a bet of 25K. To everyone’s surprise, Daily moved all in for nearly 75K and was quickly called by Best. One stunned observer was heard saying “aces against quads?” Not quite. It was Ace of Clubs 5 of Diamonds for Daily and 7 of Diamonds 7 of Hearts for Best. The river brought the Queen of Clubs, and Best got work stacking all his new found chips.
