Day 1b will start at 12pm tomorrow, and considering it’s a Saturday we’re expecting a lot of players to jump into the event.

  • With 8 exits already the tournament is down to 27 players, which means that table 61 has broken and the players have been distributed among the other tables. Table 61 had a ton of chips on it – the chip leader was seated there along with 3 other above-average stacks – so it will be interesting to see how the other players are able to react to the newbies at their table.

  • The players in Day 1a of Event 2 have entered their final break of the day. By the way, they were scheduled to play 16 levels today but the Tournament Director has decided that they will stop after just 15 levels, meaning that there is just one level to play today after this break.

  • The action on table 61 got off to a super fast start – they’ve played just a few hands and already there are two players out of the tournament.

On the very first hand, Mohamad Mahbouba took out Christos Zavouris with AQ > 44 to bring him all the way back into contention. Mohamad had been among the chip leaders since the beginning of Day 2 before losing a series of hands that took him all the way down to around 200K. Now he’s all the way back – over 1.4M.
