The Directors!

With tournaments running almost around the clock it can be tough to get our tournament directors and assistants in the same room at the same time… but we managed to get close.

These are a few of the people who work very hard to make Playground Poker Club tournaments go off as well as they do.

  • The shortest stack going into Day 4 action has just doubled. Pat – who is a Playground tournament regular and recently final tabled the WSOP-C Lac Leamy – folded the first few hands of the day and even when it was his BB when there was a raise and a 3-bet he got away from the hand.

When he was in the small blind, however, action folded to him and he shoved all-in for just over 100K. Zennawi Petros called from the BB and the players flipped over Ace of Clubs King of Hearts (Pat) and 9 of Clubs 3 of Hearts for Zennawi.

The flop came 6 of Hearts 3 of Clubs Jack of Diamonds to put Zennawi in the lead, and the 10 of Hearts didn’t give Pat any help. The famous Ace of Hearts on the river was good for him though, and he won the hand. Patrick is still short-stacked but has a little more breathing room.
