As we are getting closer to the first break, some big hands are already being played. Shahram Taghvizadeh flopped a set with his 6 of Diamonds 6 of Spades in a hand against Donald Somers and scooped a pot of over 1.6M chips. Taghvizadeh opened at 35K before the flop, but Somers raised to 85K and got a call. On the flop, Taghvizadeh checked and Somers bet 108K. Taghvizadeh called. On the turn, the bet was 225K and it was Somers’s turn to make the call. On the river, Taghvizadeh initiated a bet of 400K this time, and again, Somers called.

We didn’t get to see Somers’s cards because he mucked as soon as he saw his opponent’s cards.

Board: Queen of Spades Ace of Hearts 6 of Clubs Jack of Hearts 2 of Spades
