Manig Loeser was down to a little over 7M, and on the small blind in an unopened pot. He announced all-in for about 14 big blinds deep, and Michael Sklenicka called in a flash and tabled first:

Sklenicka: Jack of Spades Jack of Diamonds
Loeser: King of Spades 3 of Spades

Board: 3 of Hearts King of Diamonds 2 of Spades 3 of Clubs Ace of Diamonds

Loeser, a big underdog to start the hand, hit a dream flop and faded two jacks to stay alive, a few minutes from the break.

    D’Auteuil runs up the board

After eliminating Lopez, Philippe D’Auteuil has been on a tear. He won the 2 biggest pots that were played in the following orbit or two. In both cases, D’Auteuil bet 4.5M on the river into nicely built pots and got paid each time.

Just like that, he now works without about 30M chips. Michael Sklenicka is still in the lead with about 36M, and Josue Sauvageau is in 3rd with about 25M. Reilly follows with 13M and Loeser the survivor has about 10M.

A Lopez elimination in two acts

When David Lopez raised to 900K, Timothy Reilly shoved 11.4M. The action was folded back to Lopez, who made the call, covering Reilly by just over a million.

Lopez: Ace of Diamonds Jack of Diamonds
Reilly: Jack of Clubs Jack of Spades

Board: 9 of Spades King of Spades 2 of Diamonds Queen of Spades 4 of Diamonds

Lopez was left with scraps, but he doubled them up to 3M against Josue Sauvageau. Less than one orbit later, he committed those chips and was called by Philippe D’Auteuil.

Lopez: Queen of Clubs Jack of Clubs
D’Auteuil: Ace of Spades 10 of Diamonds

Board: 9 of Hearts 10 of Clubs 5 of Clubs 10 of Spades 7 of Hearts

D’Auteuil hit the flop but was the underdog! That is one serious draw, but after two clean cards, David Lopez was eliminated in 6th, good for $70,000. Congratulations!

D’Auteuil finds life on the turn

Philippe D’Auteuil has been bleeding a little bit for a while, not being able to get anything going and making a lot of folds. The last one was against Timothy Reilly. D’Auteuil bet the pot size 2.5M on the river with no previous post-flop action, and Reilly raised all-in. D’Auteuil had about 7M left, and used many time extension cards before folding.

Soon enough, these two players went at it again. Reilly raised pre-flop and D’Auteuil flat called. They were heads-up, and when Reilly placed a c-bet, D’Auteuil went all-in, and the call was quick.

D’Auteuil: Ace of Spades Jack of Clubs
Reilly: Queen of Hearts Queen of Spades

Board: 10 of Diamonds 8 of Clubs 9 of Hearts 7 of Clubs 2 of Clubs

The draw hits on the turn! D’Auteuil is allowed to hang out a little longer…

The last level has seen a decent amount of action. As Micheal Sklenicka kept building his stack, a few players who were doing well are now struggling to earn a pay jump, although no one is in direct danger of being eliminated yet.

Players are taking a short break. Here is the update:

When David Lopez opened to 750K, the bet was raised by Timothy Reilly to 2.2M. Michael Sklenicka, from the small blind, stepped in with a 6M raise. Lopez folded, and Reilly called.

Sklenicka supported his raise with a very small flop bet of 3.5M. Reilly ended up calling, staring at Sklenicka as he was pushing his chips forward. Sklenicka used a time extension card before he made his decision. 5M chips were pushed, and Reilly surrendered. Reilly is now down to about 20M, tied with Josue Sauvageau in second place. Michael Sklenicka had more chips than one can count.
