Josue Sauvageau, under the gun, opened to 800K and David Lopez, immediately on his left, put it up to 2.4M. The action was folded back to Josue, who completed the bet.

Josue checked the flop, and the 1.6M c-bet was put out and called. Both players checked the turn, which was enough for Sauvageau to test the river waters. 1.9M was pushed, but not matched. Lopez is down to about 10M, shoulder to shoulder with Manig Loeser on the leaderboard.

Michael Sklenicka, Philippe D’Auteuil, Josue Sauvageau, David Lopez, Timothy Reilly and Manig Loeser are engaged in combat. Although the battle is fierce, the chip situation has not moved a lot since our last update.

Michael Sklenicka leads the event with nearly 40,000,000 in chips, followed closely by Timothy Reilly. Our shortest stack is owned by Manig Loeser who has about 10M, or almost 30 big blinds. Our final 6 are enjoying deep stack play.

When Timothy Reilly opened to 550K, Anatolly Filatov called, and so did Josue Sauvageau. The flop was checked by all 3 spots, but Sauvageau led the turn with a 750K bet. Filatov called, and they were heads-up on the river.

Board: Ace of Clubs 2 of Spades 8 of Diamonds 4 of Spades 8 of Diamonds

Filatov passed the action once more, and this time faced an all-in bet. He took some time to assess Sauvageau’s range, and called. He had a very unpleasant surprise.

Sauvageau: 9 of Hearts 8 of Hearts
Filatov: Ace of Spades 7 of Spades

    7th: Anatolly Filatov – $60,000

Chance opened the pot from the under-the-gun position, and only Philippe D’Auteuil stayed in. After a small continuation bet and a call, Philippe went on to slow play the hand that was going to bust Chance. On the river, Chance bet 1.6M into a pot of about 2M, with another 4M behind.

Philippe D’Auteuil raised all-in, and Kornuth stayed in the tank for a while, looking very annoyed by his spot. He made the call,.

D’Auteuil: King of Diamonds 8 of Diamonds
Kornuth: 9 of Spades 7 of Spades

Board: 7 of Hearts 5 of Hearts 9 of Clubs 6 of Diamonds 5 of Clubs

When Chance Kornuth raised to 600K, Nik Khan called and Michael Sklenicka, who hasn’t been able to do anything wrong for a long time, 3bet to 1.6M. Only Nik called. This call represented about 50% of what he started the hand with, and the rest of the chips went in on the flop.

Khan: Ace of Spades Jack of Diamonds
Sklenicka: 6 of Spades 5 of Spades

Board: King of Spades 4 of Diamonds 10 of Spades 5 of Diamonds 4 of Clubs

With 3,000,000 chips left, Victor Ramdin picked up a shoving hand and moved in from under the gun. Action folded around to Josue Sauvageau in the big blind, who made the call to put his opponent at risk.

Victor: 10 of Spades 10 of Hearts
Josue: Ace of Clubs Queen of Clubs

Josue spike a pair on the flop, and improved to a flush on the Queen of Diamonds 9 of Clubs 5 of Hearts 6 of Clubs 3 of Clubs board to bring the field down to 9 players. The unofficial final table has now been formed, and includes the following players with their approximate counts:
