As usual, on a Day 2, small stacks are going to start making moves fast and very early in the day. Sometimes it’ll work and the player will double up or collect the blinds and ante, but other times they’ll make the move at a bad moment and go against a better hand and lose. That’s what happened to Sebastien Soares when, first to act before the flop, he pushed all-in. He got one caller, Samuel Gagnon.

Soares: Ace of Clubs King of Clubs

Gagnon: 10 of Hearts 10 of Clubs

Board: 9 of Spades 5 of Spades 3 of Clubs 10 of Diamonds 3 of Spades

While Gagnon’s pocket pair was enough to make him collect Soares’s stack, he still managed to hit a set on the turn and a full house on the river.
