    Setna bags the lead

    2018/05/01 - 21:47 by Playground Poker

The last Day 1 of the Turbo has come to an end, and players just bagged their chips for Day 2. A total of 140 players have made it through Day 1, 55 on Day 1A and 85 on Day 1B, and will play tomorrow until one player is crowned champion. Today, 462 entries joined the tourney, including 114 re-entries for a total of 849 for the 2 starting flights combined.

Just like every turbo tournament, play was very aggressive, allowing players to build some solid stacks right from the beginning. There was a race for the lead throughout the entire tournament between Brian Morgan, Jimmy Setna and Andrew Neeme, but at the end of level 17, Setna was the one who bagged the most chips, taking 18,425,000 to Day 2.

A complete list of players and chip counts will be posted shortly here in the results section.

    Tony Dunst
    Michael Khan
    Andrew Neeme
    Senthuran Vijayaratnam
    Jimmy Setna
    Brian Morgan

Day 2 will start tomorrow at noon, when all of our qualifiers merge and battle it out until the end.

    See you there!
