4 levels have come and go in the High-Roller event, and a few players have managed separate themselves from the field. Here are the top 5 stacks at the moment:
The High Roller tourney has just had its second elimination as Jeffrey Cormier raised all-in preflop with his small 2,475 chip stack and was called by Steven Silverman.

In a hand just moments later, PokerStars online pro Marc-André Ladouceur was also eliminated from the event.
The attendance for Event 4 – $10,000 + $400 No Limit Hold’em High Roller – has climbed up to 33 players, with another two and a half hours left before the registration period closes. Only one player has hit the rail so far, as local Quebec pro Yann Dion was eliminated before the first break.

Two hours of play have elapsed and players are about to take their first short break of the day. Note that unlike many tournaments at Playground, late registration continues beyond the first break in this event.
So far there are 28 players who have taken their seats with more rumoured (on Twitter and elsewhere) to be on their way, so it’s shaping up to be a decent turnout.
As expected, players are joining the High Roller event in a pretty steady stream. It’s still in level 1 and another 7 players have arrived and the event is up to 20 and still growing.
The $10,000 + $400 High Roller event is now underway! There are just 14 players in the event at the moment but that number is definitely going to grow as late registration is open for a full 6 hours today. Based on past experience, we’re likely to have at least 30 players total (if not more), so it should be a nice event.
