  • In the same time as Griffin Benger was playing his final pot of the tournament, there was a big hand going on on the other table. Derrick Rosenbarger raised from under the gun to 85K, and called a three-bet of 220K from Ludovic Lacay, who was in the small blind. The flop came Queen of Spades 8 of Clubs 3 of Spades, and Ludovic checked-called 215K from Derrick. The turn was a 4 of Spades, and Ludovic check-called again, this time for 375K. When the river brought the 10 of Hearts, Ludovic checked for a third time, and Derrick put out a third barrel of 800K. Ludovic went into a deep tank, and thought about the hand for several minutes. He apologized for the delay, but no one at the table seemed to have any issue given the size of the pot. He finally folded the hand, saying ‘Nice bluff’, and Derrick did indeed turn over his bluff, tabling King of Clubs 5 of Clubs for complete air.

In the mean time, Griffin was eliminated, and the final table was set to start after this hand.

  • Griffin Benger was just eliminated in a brutal fashion here to bubble the unofficial final table of 10.

They were three players to the flop of Queen of Spades 7 of Hearts 8 of Clubs, and Sylvain, the preflop raiser, lead out 100K after Alexandre checked first to act. Both Griffin and Alexandre made the call, and the turn showed the 5 of Clubs. Alexandre checked again, and Sylvain bet 175K. Griffin called, and Alexandre got out of the way. The river was the Ace of Diamonds, and Sylvain fired a third barrel, this time of 505K. Griffin went all-in over the top, and was snap called by Sylvain.

Sylvain: Ace of Clubs Ace of Hearts

Griffin: 7 of Clubs 7 of Spades

Griffing had flopped a set of 7s, but got rivered by Sylvain’s set of As, who picked up a massive pot, eliminating the online sensation known as Flush_Entity.

  • In a hand where Antoine min raised from UTG + 1, we saw flat calls from Ludovic in middle-position, Amir from the button and David from the big blind. The flop came out 3 of Spades 10 of Spades 9 of Diamonds, and Ludovic bet 140K after David and Antoine checked. Amir made the call, and David check-raised all-in for 930K total. Antoine folded, and Ludovic made the call. Amir struggled a little, but eventually let go of his hand.

David: Jack of Spades 10 of Hearts

Ludovic: Ace of Spades Ace of Clubs

The run 2 of Spades and river 6 of Clubs didn’t improve David’s top pair, and he was sent to the rail with a $30,857 payday. Ludovic is now approaching the 3 million chip mark, nearly 6 times what he started the day with.

    12th place: David Paredes, $30,857

  • Thomas Giorgi moved all-in from early position with his last 320K, and was called by Antoine Berube. The rest of the players folded, and Antoine turned over Ace of Clubs Ace of Hearts versus the 4 of Diamonds 4 of Clubs of Thomas.

The board of Queen of Hearts 9 of Spades 5 of Spades 6 of Spades 9 of Diamonds was of no help for Thomas, who finished in 13th place for $30,857.

  • In a battle of the blinds, Patrick Eskandar called the all-in of Griffin Benger, and found himself far behind.

Patrick: Ace of Clubs King of Clubs

Griffin: King of Spades King of Hearts

The board of 6 of Hearts Jack of Hearts 10 of Diamonds 2 of Spades 9 of Spades was clean for Griffin’s pair of cowboys, and Patrick was eliminated in 14th place, good for $30,857.

  • Shortly after the recent break, we saw Zennawi Petros open from middle position to 80K. Serge Cantin raised from the big blind to 280K, and Zennawi went all-in with his 515K stack. Serge made the call, and they opened their hands.

Zennawi: Ace of Diamonds Queen of Diamonds

Serge: 10 of Clubs 10 of Hearts

The board ran out 5 of Clubs Ace of Clubs 7 of Clubs 9 of Hearts 6 of Clubs, and although Zennawi picked up a pair on the flop, Serge made the flush on the river.

  • On a 6 of Hearts Jack of Clubs 8 of Clubs board, we saw Sylvain lead out with a 40K bet, and go all-in over Antoine’s raise to 140K. Antoine asked for a count, and made the call of 1.15M total holding Ace of Clubs Jack of Diamonds. Sylvain turned over Queen of Hearts 10 of Diamonds, and knew he needed some help. The turn of 10 of Spades was helpful, but it was the river Queen of Spades that gave Sylvain the double up. He now holds over 2.7M chips going into level 26.
