Darryll Fish and Jeffrey Cormier had a major feud pre-flop. Russell Thomas opened a pot to 55K, and Fish flat called the bet. Cormier, however, wanted to juice up the stakes a little bit, and raised it up to 185K. Thomas stepped out, and Fish did something unexpected: he 4-bet!

Cormier was now facing a 550K bet, coming from a pro who had previously flatted the initial raiser. Not the most comfortable situation to be in, but he finally decided that his hand was good enough to contest the WPT winner. All-in. Call!

Cormier: Ace of Clubs King of Clubs
Fish: Queen of Clubs Queen of Hearts

Board: Queen of Diamonds 9 of Clubs 8 of Clubs 9 of Spades King of Diamonds

Was that a top set against a nut flush draw? Cormier almost found out how to win the hard way, but as it is, that’s 5M chips to Fish!

    Jeffrey Cormier
    Darryll Fish
