This pot was limped by Frank Koopman before Matthew Salsberg completed his small blind with no more than a few chips to his name. Griffin Benger raised from the big blind to 180K. Koopman called, and Salsberg went all-in for less.

The flop saw no action, but Benger bet 350K on the turn, and Koopman called. On the river, Benger check folded to Koopman’s 750K bet. Was he following his instincts or was it that he couldn’t wait to go back to the Maple Leafs/Bruins game 7 on the big screen?

Board: 7 of Diamonds 5 of Spades 4 of Hearts 4 of Clubs 3 of Clubs

In any case, the fold was sound, for Koopman showed 5 of Diamonds 4 of Diamonds. Canadian pro Matt Salsberg will have to wait another day to send a stack to Day 2.
