Taylor Black leads the 9 finalists into Day 5

    2018/05/02 - 1:16 by Jôle Simard

Day 4 started with 51 players, and played down to just 9 finalists. Some of the biggest names in poker were at the tables, all battling for the huge final table payouts, including three 7-figure amounts.

Poker superstar Antonio Esfandiari played in Day 4, but for no longer than a few minutes. His short stack went in very early and lost a flip. Many very strong locals did their best to survive Day 4. Jason Duval was seen making a great river call with ace high. Lucas Drolet was enjoying a top stack for a while, but suffered a few brutal losses and did not make it. Ema Zajmovic, despite making an impressive comeback from less than one blind, also fell before the gong. Guillaume Nolet and Charles La Boissonnière will be representing the locals on Day 5.

It was a 12-hour day for our 9 finalists, and they now have less than 12 hours before play resumes on Day 5. Playing for such high prizes can be unnerving, and doing it for 12 hours exhausting. This is where physical form, good nutrition, and big-money experience become relevant. Some would say that Darryll Fish has the biggest edge in that department, but most of these players are so good that stack size and luck should be stronger deciding factors.

Join us tomorrow for the conclusion of the MILLIONS North America with Day 5 of the Main Event, Day 2 of the Turbo and Day 3 of the Finale.
