George Lagos was down to 12bb when 2-way action came to him – Taylor had raised from utg (as he has been doing almost every hand) and Anthony had called. George decided to ship with 6 of Diamonds 7 of Diamonds. Taylor got out of the way – but there’s no way Anthony had flat-called the massive chip leader holding nothing but air. Anthony called and flipped over his 9 of Diamonds 9 of Spades.

The flop was nothing short of a miracle for George. The Ace of Diamonds Jack of Diamonds 5 of Spades give him a diamond draw but also some back door straight outs. He had one pull to see one of the diamonds… and the 8 of Diamonds came, giving him the flush – but then the 3 of Diamonds came on the river to give Anthony a better runner-runner diamond flush to the 9 of Diamonds!

    7th place, George Lagos, $302,500
