Duhamel, playing on the monster stacks’ left, had a rare opportunity where both of them had folded. He was on the button with a pair and after a few raises, he and Michael Sklenicka were all-in.

A few hands later, Samuel Chartier, who had been struggling for a few hours trying to get some life back into his tournament, went all-in from the under-the-gun position with less than a million chips. All was good until Sklenicka, in the big blind, peeked at his cards. He snap called.
