Marc Macdonnell raised to 300K, and was called by Kevin Hobbs from the blinds. Hobbs checked the flop, passing the action to Macdonnell, who continued with a bet of 350K. Hobbs put some pressure right away with a raise to 1,120,000. Macdonnell went all-in for 3,215,000 and Hobbs quickly called.

Hobbs: Jack of Hearts 6 of Hearts
Macdonnell: 8 of Hearts 7 of Hearts

What a monster flop for these 2 hands. Macdonnell was covered and Hobbs takes down a pot of about 7.1M chips. Macdonnell left with a $20,000 prize for his efforts. Congratulations!

Here is the new payout table:

Gal Yifrach was taken out on the bubble after losing a pre-flop showdown with Ace of Diamonds Jack of Spades against Kevin Hobbs’ 7 of Hearts 7 of Spades. There are now 11 money finishers in the event. The shot clock has been introduced, and players have been given their time extension cards. They have 30 seconds for every decision.

The final table will be formed 2 eliminations from now, with 9 players left.

Viktor Blom opened the pot to 225K, which was raised to 700K by big-stack Darren Elias. The action was folded back to Blom, who decided to go all-in after very little thinking. Elias snapped, not caring about the size of Blom’s stack – which was about 4.5M.

Blom: Jack of Hearts Jack of Spades
Elias: King of Clubs King of Hearts

Board: 8 of Hearts 5 of Spades 6 of Spades 10 of Spades King of Spades

Blom hit running spades for a jack high flush and a 10 million pot!

He is now sitting in 2nd place with about 11M, close to his neighbor David Eldridge who is in the lead with about 12M. In the picture below, Blom is watching closely as the dealer proceeds to double him up.

    David Eldridge

Darren Elias lost his remaining million shortly after, and was followed by Benoit Gallant.
