Christopher Kruk, the chip leader in Day 1C of the MILLIONS, got there by making a great call moments before the break. He called a 54K raise that came in after a limp. The limper called, and they went to the flop 3-way.

Kruk check raised Joshua Kay, bringing 100K to 220K. The initial limper folded, and Kay made the call. Kruk checked again on the turn, not caring about pressing his previous check raise. Kay thought he felt some weakness and went all-in for 811K. He might have been right, but Super High Roller champion Christopher Kruk sees it all. Great call.

Board: 6 of Spades 3 of Spades 6 of Diamonds 2 of Clubs Jack of Hearts

Kruk: 5 of Clubs 5 of Spades
Kay: Ace of Diamonds 3 of Diamonds

As if this field wasn’t star-studded enough already, Antonio Esfandiari just joined Day 1C of the MILLIONS Main Event. He was seated at a table that has Jake Schwartz and Canadian pro Mike Leah on it – a good welcoming committee!

Entries are coming in at a very rapid pace, and to accommodate everyone, tables have started to open in the immense tent that was put up for the Event. One of those tables is very heavy, with Timothy Reilly, the online legend Victor ”Isildur1” Blom, and 2010 WSOP runner-up John Racener playing together. Racener finished 2nd to none other than our own Jonathan Duhamel.

On that table, a huge hand was developed when 5 people went to see a flop:

5 of Clubs 3 of Hearts 10 of Hearts

This seemingly innocent flop got 3 in an all-in showdown:

Thomas Haney: King of Spades 10 of Spades (350K)
Vincent Moscati: Jack of Clubs Jack of Diamonds (1M)
Jonathan Dwek: Ace of Hearts 2 of Hearts

Dwek had both opponents covered and a strong draw.

Run out: 4 of Clubs 9 of Hearts

Dwek was all over that run out, earning the check mark on the turn and hitting both cards.

Here are some photos of that table:

As the day goes on, some big hands are being played – we’ve witnessed a three way all-in where Nelson Beck scooped near 2M in chips. All the action happened pre-flop – Beck, Andrew Glauberg and Cassidy Battikha had their entire stacks committed before they’ve even seen any of the community cards. Beck flopped a small pair, which was enough to make him win the pot. He had Battikha covered but Glauberg still has a few chips left and will be able to try to build back his stack.

Beck: Ace of Diamonds 4 of Diamonds

Battikha: 10 of Spades 9 of Spades

Glauberg: Ace of Clubs Queen of Diamonds

Board: Jack of Diamonds King of Clubs 4 of Clubs 6 of Spades 3 of Spades

When Gurpreet Singh Lubana opened to 30K from the cutoff, Trevor Delaney put it up to 77K from the button. Isolation of the late position raise? Ari Engel wanted to find out. He 4bet to 216K.

Lubana, the initial raiser, thought for a while. During this time, players were looking at each other, trying to pick up something, anything that would dictate the right course of action. Lubana put out 480K, a hefty 5bet.

Delaney chuckled and folded. Engel, a well-known pro with almost $6M in live earnings, was in a tough spot. What does he think that I think that he thinks I have?, he might have been wondering. Engel folded, and put this hand on the shelf for future reference, like top pros do.
