Day 1D of the Main Event is turning out to be as crazy as everyone expected, with 500 entries so far and hours of late registration and re-entries still to go. While some players are playing this event for the first time today, lots of players are firing multiple bullets with the hope of running up a bigger stack to bring forward to Day 2.

The Main Event offers players lots of opportunities to get their part of the gargantuan guaranteed prize pool. If a player qualifies with multiple Day 1 stacks, they may be used to enter or re-enter one or more Day 2s. If a player uses a Day 1 stack to start Day 2 and is eliminated then they retain the option to enter and re-enter using another option. So it comes as no surprise that many players are playing multiple flights. With 500,000,000 chips already in play, there are sure to be some huge stacks going in the bag at the end of the day.

The final Day 1 flight, Day 1E, starts tonight at 8:00pm, running at the same time as a Step 2 satellite so there are still lots of ways to take your shot at the MILLIONS. This is one you don’t want to miss!

The ever growing Day 1D field is about to breach 500 entries, with nearly 20 tables spilling into the giant tent set-up for the event. Below are a few photos taken during level 2, including some shots taken inside the tent.

Day 1D is now into level 2 of the day, and the number of entries has continued it’s steady growth. A total of 463 entries have now taken place in this 4th flight, including 8 re-entries. A short break is scheduled to take place after level 2, during which we will bring the first leaderboard of the flight.

Only half a level has gone by so far in Day 1D, but with time starting to run out for players to build a stack into Day 2 of the MILLIONS North America Main Event, a few players have come out swinging right from the start.

Sylvain Siebert is one of them, and he was recently eliminated after trying to pass a bluff on his opponents. Nick Shkolnik opened the action to 25,000 from the cutoff position, and was followed by Marcello Rosa on the button before Sylvain 3-bet to 105,000 from the small blind. Both opponents called and they were 3 to the flop.

With showing, Sylvain moved all-in first to act for a little over 500,000, and his bet was looked up by Nick before Marcello threw his cards into the muck.

Sylvain tabled high, and was trailing the of Nick. The turn and river brought no change to the hand, and Sylvain took a walk to the cage and registered another bullet into the flight.

As anticipated, Day 1D of the MILLIONS North America Main Event has taken off with a fury. Less than half a level in and the attendance has quickly climbed up to 400 runners, with more streaming in by the minute.

The tournament hall is now flooded with players all trying to become the next MILLIONS champion, and claiming the 7-figure score that accompanies the title.

Late registration will remain open throughout the day.
