The MILLIONS North America is a great opportunity to play with some of the greats, especially if you’re in the Main Event. Jeffrey Batmanian, Karim Chatur and David Coleman sure have their money’s worth in that department.

They are sharing table 59 with some decent poker players: Jonathan Duhamel, Michael Watson, Kristen Bicknell, Seth Davies, Marvin Rettenmaier and Anthony Ruberto. Over 40 million dollars in live earnings by the 6 of them, along with pretty much every title in the game.

Goldman sends Dunst to the rail

Tony Dunst must have felt confident, and with good reason, when he flopped bottom set on a Queen of Diamonds Ace of Hearts 6 of Diamonds board. He must have hoped that his opponent, Isaiah Goldman, had a strong enough hand to put a lot of chips in the middle. But to Dunst’s dismay, Goldman’s strong hand on the flop, Ace of Diamonds King of Hearts, just kept improving and eventually overtook Dunst’s 6 of Hearts 6 of Spades. All the chips went in when the King of Clubs appeared on the turn. But the river, the Ace of Clubs, gave Goldman the nut boat, sending Dunst to the rail in the late stages of Day 2A.

Playing high-level poker can be very tiring, and after 6 levels of Day 2 action, 174 players are happily taking a well-deserved dinner break. A warm buffet is displayed in both tournament rooms, that is one in the main hall, and one in the tent.

Our Day 2 players are digging in, bringing their energy level back up for the remaining 3 levels of the day. Brian Yoon went on a breakaway during the last level, and is standing at 23,400,000 chips, almost 6M more than Thomas Lefort, in second place with 17,650,000!

    Play will resume shortly.

Alexander Villa was clearly flummoxed by the line Alxandre Nadeau-Levesque took in a heads-up pot they just played.

When Nadeau-Levesque made a river bet of 875K, Villa looked at the 4 of Clubs King of Spades 5 of Diamonds 2 of Hearts 8 of Spades board and asked “what in the world do you have?” After only a few seconds, Villa slammed a single chip on the felt and Nadeau immediately replied “kings” as he opened King of Clubs King of Diamonds. Villa couldn’t muck quickly enough.

A huge pre-flop conflict got three players all-in for a lot of chips. Naseem Kteily was the first to move in, and Shang Dai called 1,610,000. Rudy Jozef Raveyts committed his own stack, which represented another 1,410,000 for Dai to complete. He wasn’t going to let his opponents have all the fun, and finally called.

Kteily: King of Spades Queen of Hearts
Dai: Ace of Hearts 10 of Hearts
Raveyts: 10 of Clubs 10 of Spades

Board: 8 of Diamonds Queen of Clubs Ace of Diamonds 4 of Spades 2 of Hearts

An ace from space! Double knockout, and a lot of marbles.

Niall Farrell and Jimmy Lee just clashed in a pot which lead to the elimination of Niall, as both players clicked it back on a 6 of Hearts 7 of Hearts 9 of Clubs flop until there were no more chips left to wager. A 7 million chip pot was formed, and players were asked to open their cards.

Niall had flopped bottom-two with his 6 of Clubs 7 of Clubs, however he was drawing very slim versus the top set of Jimmy, who showed down 9 of Spades 9 of Diamonds. The 8 of Hearts on the turn brought some “chopportunities”, however a 2 of Diamonds on the river sealed the fate of Niall, while Jimmy added a few more chips to his growing stack.
