Adam John Owen just won a very decent pot in a hand that started three way but lost a player on the river. Owen opened at 200K pre-flop, Tracy Nhi Nguyen raised to 600K, Guillaume Nolet called and so did Owen.
Flop:
Owen checked, Nguyen made it 320K, Nolet and Owen made the call.
Turn:
They all checked on the turn.
River:
Owen bets 900K, Nguyen folds, and after a few minutes, Nolet makes the call. When Owen showed his cards, Nolet realized he was beat and mucked.

In the late stages of level 14, Ardavan Yazdi opened the action to 160K from under the gun and was called by Lu Zhang, in the cut-off, before Kevin Rivest made a raise from the button to 500K. Both Yazdi and Zhang made the call, building a big pot before the
flop hit the table. The action checked to Rivest who continued for 750K. Yazdi got out of the way before Zhang raised all-in for 2.9M. Rivest scanned the tournament board and quickly counted his remaining stack before deciding that he had too much invested in the pot to give up so he made the call with
. Zhang quietly opened
, for a pair and the lead. The
on the turn gave Rivest some more outs, and the
on the river gave him the nuts. And just like that he added a few million more chips to his stack.

Late in level 13, with the blinds at 35K/70K, Marc Macdonnell opened the action to 150K from middle position. His neighbour, Michael Pitcher, raised him to 350K. The action quickly folded back around to Macdonnell who, not to be deterred, re-raised to 950K. The four-bet gave Pitcher a tough decision, one that he took a few minutes to make, before calling. Macdonnell continued with a bet of 630K on the
flop. The relatively small bet was met with an all-in raise from Pitcher, one that was immediately called by Macdonell. Macdonell showed
, and Pitcher tabled
. The
fell harmlessly on the turn before the
spiked the river, sending Macdonnell to the rail and nearly doubling Pitcher’s 3.7M chip stack.

The winner of the Super High Roller, Christopher Kruk, just doubled up on Michael Sklenicka who was the leader starting the day and all the way through the first two levels. James Nixon opened to 150K before the flop, Khaly Dang called, Sklenicka raised to 725K and that’s when Kruk went all-in for 1.25M. Nixon and Dang folded, but Sklenick called. The turn was good to Kruk and the river made his hand even better.

A huge hand was played, which led to Darren Elias’s elimination. Before the flop, there was a 140K raise and 4 players called. On the flop, Elias hits top two, so he bets 340K. Everybody folds except for Ubaid Habib who goes all-in. Elias calls to see that Habib has flopped a straight. The turn and river didn’t help Elias much and Habib had him covered. Habib has now just a little under 14M in chips and might be the new leader.
