Coming up: Day 1E in the MILLIONS Main Event

    2018/04/27 - 19:42 by

The final Day 1 in the MILLIONS Main Event is Day 1E – the Turbo flight! Blind levels in this starting flight will be just 40 minutes long, and the whole day will wrap up just after 2:00am. Players will still have the same option to enter and re-enter once each during the Turbo flight – so you might say this is the most efficient way to play your way to Day 2.

Everyone in the event should remember, though, that you also have the option to enter or re-enter on Day 2 – both of them (2A and 2B). Registration in the event remains open until the end of the break following level 12 in the tournant – which is to say, through the first 4 levels of either Day 2. So even if you book a decent stack through to Day 2, it’s not a bad idea to either book a second stack through tonight or to buy-in directly to the other Day 2. Then on Day 3 the tournament will be best-stack-forward and everyone will restart with their greatest holdings.

In any case, the action tonight starting at 8:00pm should be fierce and quick as new players join the event for the first time – but others who may have already fired a bullet or two try and make good on the investment they’ve already made.

    Good luck!

Jaime Staples, one of the biggest poker stars on twitch.tv with over 100,000 followers, entered Day 1D of the MILLIONS Main Event about 2 hours ago. It is a pleasure to welcome him within our walls, and hope that he will have a great time. He surely is on the right track, having doubled his belongings already!

The players have returned to their seats following the final break of Day 1D. The entries and re-entries continue to roll in at a slow pace, bringing the total number of entries to 613 for today. There are now 358 players left in contention, and many have been able to build up impressive stacks thanks to all the eliminations up to this point. Nearly two hours of play remains so we are likely to see the tournament chip leader emerge from this flight.

Here are the current chip leaders:

Shane Currey opened the pot to 50K, and Ramesh Puradchithasan raised to 150K. Pirooz Bayat cold called, and the action came straight back to Shane, who went 480K. Ramesh thought for about 2 minutes, and pushed his stack forward. Pirooz ran, and Shane completed the bet. He had over 2M, and was covered.

Shane: Ace of Diamonds King of Diamonds
Ramesh: Queen of Spades Queen of Hearts

Board: 4 of Hearts Jack of Hearts 8 of Hearts Ace of Spades 7 of Hearts

Ouch! After finding himself in a very tough spot on the flop, Shane hit a non-heart ace on the turn. All he needed was for the river to come black or in diamonds, but when the heart fell, he was sent to the rail.

On a 10 of Hearts 7 of Diamonds 3 of Diamonds flop, Martin Nadeau checked, and another player bet 100K into a raised pot. Liza Savage bumped it to 200K, and only Nadeau called. With over half a million in the pot, Nadeau checked again, and watched Savage put out 500K, or half of her stack. Nadeau couldn’t find it in him to surrender the top pair, and called.

Nadeau: King of Hearts 10 of Diamonds
Savage: 3 of Hearts 3 of Spades

Board: 10 of Hearts 7 of Diamonds 3 of Diamonds 2 of Clubs Ace of Clubs

Nadeau was in the very unpleasant ”drawing dead” situation, and Liza Savage was happy to run it up to almost 3M chips.
