Roberto Romanello and Griffin Benger just walked in joining Marc-Etienne Mclaughlin at his table.
Meanwhile, Brian Yoon, who played in the High Roller and the Super High Roller, lost his stack in a nut flush against a second nut flush situation. He re-entered and is now back in the game.
As the field is growing, some renowned players make their appearance in the Main Event, and we are expecting many more since players can enter throughout the entire Day 1.

Players from all around the world have gathered here, at Playground Poker Club for Day 1A of the MILLIONS North America Main Event. We are expecting hundreds of people today and we can already feel the excitement in the air.
The tournament director has announced the beginning of the tournament and has made the traditional command “Dealers, shuffle up and deal.“
Less than a hundred of people are starting on time, but there will be a constant flow coming in throughout the day.

Day 1A in the MILLIONS North America Main Event begins today at 12:00pm, and history will begin to be made as the largest tournament in Canadian poker history gets underway in the Tournament Hall at Playground Poker Club. The event features a massive $10,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, and the first 3 places are guaranteed to pay at least $1M each!
The tournament features 4 “normal” Day 1s plus a fifth Turbo Day 1, and registration is open throughout the day for each of these starting flights. In fact, players also have the option to enter or re-enter (or both) until the end of the break following level 12 on Days 2A and 2B as well – so there will be plenty of opportunity for players to find the winning formula to generate a huge stack to take to Day 3.
The Satellite and other qualifier activity surrounding this event have been unparalleled – a factor that will definitely NOT go unnoticed by any professional poker player looking for extra tournament value. As of this morning, 500 seats have been awarded via online or live satellite, and there are still over 100 seats more guaranteed in satellites that will occur in parallel with the event’s starting flights.
The players who start their journey to poker riches today will be joining a small group who played their Day 1 and Day 2 at Deerfoot Inn & Casino. The tournament may be formally beginning today, but there are already 5 players that have a seat in Day 3 via these remote starting days. The chip leader from those flights, Ashkan Razavi, has booked a stack that’s 89bb deep for Day 3 – which should effectively become the target for players starting today.

Our partners at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino ran the first Days 1 and 2 in the MILLIONS Main Event on Tuesday and Wednesday, and with those now complete, full attention shifts back to Playground Poker Club for the rest of the tournament.
Five players in Calgary managed to book their way into Day 3 (out of a total of 29 Day 1 and Day 2 entries), including Ashkan Razavi with an impressive 14.18M (89bb) in chips and Thomas Taylor, who accumulated over 6M (38bb) by the time level 17 came to an end. Each of the 5 players has earned a $1,200 travel bonus (not taken from the prize pool) and will make their way to Montreal for Day 3. Meanwhile at Playground, attention focuses on Events #1, #2, and #3 – the Main Event (#4) will resume with Day 1A on Tuesday, April 24th.
Today at the Deerfoot Poker Room, Day 2 in the MILLIONS Main Event has been underway since 12:00pm MDT. That means the field – which grew to 29 total entries today – is now through almost 7 levels of play and the day should wrap up after two more levels.
