With the big blind now costing a starting stack in the Main Event, there has been a steady stream of eliminations, bringing the field down to 37 players on five tables.
Every pot has been hard fought this afternoon, and despite the mounting pressure there is some fearless poker on display. A good example of which just happened in a pot between Jason Duval and Tommy Nguyen as Duval made an ace-high hero call when facing a river bet of 5.7M on a board. Duval had check-raised the flop, and both players checked the turn before Duval checked to Nguyen on the river and promptly called his big bet. Duval’s was enough to beat Nguyen’s .

The second level of Day 4 is underway, and the field has already lost 10 players since the start of the day. Eliminations include the likes of Antonio Esfandiari, Brian Hasting and Senthuran Vijayaratnam, to name a few.

Antonio Esfandiari outlasted over 1,900 runners, but his MILLIONS Main Event run has ended.
Esfandiari was eliminated in 51st place after losing a flip to Matthew Volosevich. Esfandiari raised the 800K big blind to 13.5M, leaving himself 2.15M behind, effectively moving all-in. Volosevich then moved all-in for slightly more than 30M, chasing the rest of the table out of the pot.

The chips are out of the bags, the players are in their seats and the tournament director’s call to “shuffle up and deal” just rang out in the tournament hall to kick off the action on Day 4 of the MILLIONS Main Event.
To start the day, 51 players are still in contention, and they will battle it out over the course of ten levels this afternoon. The feature table will be streaming-on a 30-minute delay-throughout the day, giving everyone the chance to follow the action all the way to the conclusion of this epic event.
Good luck to all!

The Main Event continues today with Day 4 and just 51 players remain in the hunt for the top 3 prizes of greater than $1M each! In fact, the min-cash today will continue to be $17,500 and there will be small but increasing pay jumps throughout the day. Play is scheduled to continue through 10 levels today beginning with level 27 – blinds 400,000 and 800,000 with a button ante of 800,000.
There will be a streamed feature table from the outset of the action today – minus the 30 minute security delay – and we have learned that the starting feature table will be table 35, including players such as Marc-Andre Ladouceur, Antonio Esfandiari, and Joseph Cheong. With a wide variety of stack sizes at play, there’s sure to be some interesting dynamics on that table – and throughout the Tournament Hall.
Good luck!
