MILLIONS Finale Day 2 seating draw (with counts)

    2018/04/30 - 23:41 by Playground Poker

Day 1 of the MILLIONS Finale is now in the books and 40 players will return for the Day 2 restart. That’s not the full total of players who will continue in the event, however – players have until the end of the break following level 12 on Day 2 to enter and re-enter the event. With Day 2 set to begin at level 9 (blinds 10K/20K), new players in level 9 tomorrow will start with a 50bb stack – more than enough chips for any tournament player.

When play resumes, the players will be organized according to the following chart:

148 players bag chips on Day 2B

    2018/04/29 - 21:26 by Shawn McCrory

Day 2B of the MILLIONS Main Event was set to begin with 271 bags advanced from Day 1 flights. But the direct Day 2 buy-ins brought the starting field up to nearly 400 entries before the first card was pitched. And that trend continued throughout the day as the buy-ins and re-entries continued at a steady pace all the way to the last minute of the late registration period.

Many players got into the Main Event via flip’n go this afternoon. The format-one hand, one board, winner take all-provided lots of excitement for all involved. They were held on various tables around Playground, including the beautiful partypoker LIVE streaming table, and in each case they drew a crowd of bystanders looking to join in the sweat.

When the late registration period ended at the beginning of level 13, 587 entries made it into Day 2B, making for over 1 billion chips in play. Thanks to the huge field and massive number of chips in play, many players were able to run up big stacks throughout the day. When it was time to bag chips at the end of level 16, 148 players remained, and a dozen from this flight will start Day 3 with more than double the 6.9M chip average. The chip leaders from Day 2B include notable players Ubaid Habib with 24.1M, Antonio Esfandiari with 23.7M and 2017 World Cup of Cards Canadian Poker Championship winner Kevin Rivest with 20M.

    Brian Yoon crushed Day 2A

    2018/04/28 - 21:56 by Jôle Simard

Today was the first of two Day 2s in the MILLIONS Main Event. At 12h00, 364 bags were placed on the tables, waiting for their rightful owner. Throughout the day, 137 buy-ins were placed, bringing the Day 2A total entries to 501.

Michael Sklenicka, who sent the biggest stack to day 2 – 10,195,000 – did not play today, but 2nd and 3rd, Sylvain Siebert and Tony Dunst, did. Tony Dunst had lost a good portion of his 8,050,000 when he got severely coolered with his few remaining millions. His bottom set was cruelly taken down by a top pair that turned into two pairs, that turned into a bigger boat.

Sylvain Siebert was the richest player to start the day, and loyal to himself, he rode the roller coaster, shrinking as small as 3M and springing back up to the bagged 14,550,000, one of the biggest stacks to be taken to Day 3, also a habit of his.

Brian Yoon had an unbelievable day, and bagged the monstrous amount of 24,910,000 chips. He will be hard to dislodge from the driver’s seat by any Day 2B player. The combined Day 2 results is updated now with all results from Day 2A.

The players were being eliminated a little too fast, and partypoker made the decision to cut a level off the day’s program. This means that Day 2B will also be shortened, for all players to merge on the same level, so if you are playing tomorrow, know that you will be able to celebrate a big bag earlier than expected!

Follow us tomorrow for another exciting day of Day 2 action!

Chips are flying from a player to another. Farid Jattin just saw his stack double in size in that hand against George Biliouras. No crazy action before the flop, but when the dealer opened Ace of Diamonds 3 of Spades 2 of Spades, Biliouras made an impressive bet of 1,075,000 chips. Jattin called, leaving himself with under 200K behind. When the turn came a King of Spades, Jattin put in what he had left and Biliouras called him.

Biliouras: 2 of Hearts 2 of Diamonds

Jattin : 4 of Clubs 5 of Clubs

    River: 7 of Spades

They both hit hard on the flop, Biliouras hitting a set and Jattin flopping a straight so the hand pretty much played itself.

Jattin doubled up, leaving Biliouras with a much smaller stack.

    Kostoulas bags heavy

    2018/04/26 - 21:15 by Jôle Simard

A huge Thursday was just concluded at Playground Poker Club, as the field in Day 1C was the biggest so far. This being said, it is believed that tomorrow’s flights will be even bigger.

Of course, the closer we get to the first Day 2, the more pros we see in the stream of players coming into the club. Today, we welcomed Scott Blumstein, the current world champion. We also had the pleasure to see our friend Antonio Esfandiari drop by. He casually and unsurprisingly build his stack to 4.6M, all the while doing his usual stretching and getting massage after massage.

Of all the big stacks that were sent to Day 2, Christopher Kostoulas was the heaviest. He finished the day with 6,450,000 chips, good for 4th place overall so far. You can consult the full list of Day 2 qualifiers and their counts here, in the results section of the event.

On tap tomorrow, Main Event Day 1D and at night, the turbo flight, Day 1E. We will see you there!
