Play has just begun in Day 1B of the Closer – the second of four starting flights in the event. Last night’s Day 1A attracted 214 entries including 47 re-entries, and that number was subject to some downwards pressure due to the sheer magnitude of yesterday’s Main Event flight. As the starting flights move forward, each one should see a bump in attendance as players scramble to qualify for Day 2.
So far tonight there are 178 entries, with 176 of those players still at the tables. Re-entries haven’t yet started in earnest – but it’s only level 1, that’s to be expected. Play will continue tonight through 14 levels of 30 minutes each and there will be three 15 minute breaks. At the end of the affair, everyone who still has a stack will bag up those chips to return to play in Day 2. Players may also try to qualify through multiple flights, and if a player does qualify twice, that’s OK – their largest stack will go through to Day 2.
Good luck to all!
