The players went on a scheduled break while the tournament staff performed a chip race to remove the 1K chips.

This gave us the opportunity to survey the four remaining stacks and provide an update. We thought to show our readers just how those chips stack up and what they look like from a player’s perspective.

Patrick Braga went all in with a pocket pair, but he ran up against Khalid Waziri holding a good enough hand to call Braga’s all-in.

Patrick Braga: 8 of Hearts 8 of Clubs

Khalid Waziri: Ace of Clubs Jack of Hearts

Khalid Waziri, who has had a great run today, hit the jack right on the window. Then it just went from bad to worse for Braga.

Board: 6 of Spades 5 of Hearts Jack of Diamonds Ace of Hearts 10 of Spades

So Braga hits the rail in 5th place and Khalid Waziri becomes a force to be reckoned with.

    Patrick Braga – 5th place – $13,000

    6th place for Shailesh Patel

    • Level: 27
    • Small Blind: 30K
    • Big Blind: 60K
    • Button Ante: 30K
    • Chip Average: 1,405K

As players keep the action intense and constant, the shorter stacks feel compelled to take more risks, and the field is reducing at a brisk pace.

The latest victim is Shailesh Patel who ran out of luck and chips and headed for the rail in 6th position.

    Shailesh Patel – 6th position – $10,000

Jun Francis Ishili goes home in 7th place

    • Level: 27
    • Small Blind: 30K
    • Big Blind: 60K
    • Button Ante: 30K
    • Chip Average: 3,400K
    • Remaining: 6
    • Entries: 454

Only moments after the elimination of More in 8th position, Jun Francis Ishili arrived at the end of his run in the Monster Stack tournament as well.

Jun Francis Ishili goes home in a respectable 7th place out of 454 players.

    Jun Francis Ishili – 7th place – $7,800

8th place for Ranbir Singh More

    • Level: 27
    • Small Blind: 30K
    • Big Blind: 60K
    • Button Ante: 60K
    • Chip Average: 12,74K
    • Remaining: 7
    • Entries: 454

    2018/08/28 | 23:54 by Playground Poker

Ranbir Singh More had no luck when he went all-in against Sebastien Lepine who was holding a decent pocket pair.

Ranbir: 6 of Hearts Queen of Spades

Sebastien: 10 of Spades 10 of Diamonds

The board ran dry for Ranbir: 8 of Hearts 9 of Clubs 7 of Diamonds Ace of Clubs King of Diamonds

So Ranbir Singh More goes to the rail in 8th position as Sebastien Lepine continues to increase his stack.

    Ranbir Singh More – 8th place – $6,000

Philippe Belley out in 9th place

    • Level: 26
    • Small Blind: 25K
    • Big Blind: 50K
    • Button Ante: 50K
    • Chip Average: 1,954K
    • Remaining: 8
    • Entries: 454

    2018/08/28 | 23:42 by Playground Poker

Almost immediately after taking a seat at the final table, Philippe Belley was all-in with a pocket pair. Unfortunately for him Weituoxin Wu also had one.

Philippe Belley: 7 of Hearts 7 of Diamonds

Weituoxin Wu: Queen of Clubs Queen of Spades

The board showed the seven in the window that Philippe wanted so desperately. But Lady Luck had a surprise up her sleeve as the hidden cards were revealed…

Board Queen of Diamonds 8 of Clubs 7 of Spades 8 of Diamonds 8 of Hearts

The turn and river gave a boat Queens full of eights for Wu. So Philippe Belley goes out in 9th place.

    Philippe Belley – 9th place – $4,500
