The players in the $5,000 + $300 Super High Roller event have just taken their first break of the day and during the break we surveyed the tables for the current leaders. One player – Paul Klann – has managed to double his stack already, which is pretty impressive considering the players in the field are so skilled and experienced. There are two other players over the 400K mark – starting from a 250K starting stack: Mike Leah and Jason James.

As we reach the end of the first level of play in the Super High Roller, 34 players have made their way in to the field, and more are joining them by the minute. There remains eight hours of late registration and re-entries so this event is shaping up for a great turnout.

Event #4 – $5,000 + $300 Super High Roller

The WSOP-C Playground continues this afternoon with the biggest buy-in of the series in the $5,000 + $300 Super High Roller.

This 8-handed tournament starts players with a whopping 250,000 in chips that mirrors the hefty guarantee of a $250,000 prize pool. This tournament permits unlimited re-entries until the end of the tenth level of play so players can fire as many bullets as they want during that time frame. There will be a 30-minute dinner break after level 10. Day 1 will continue as long as it takes to play down to the final nine players. Play will resume at 1pm on Friday for the final table.

Super High Roller postponed

Due to unforeseen environmental problems, the WSOP-C Playground Event #4, the $5,000 + $300 Super High Roller event, has been postponed by one day. The tournament, scheduled to start at 5:00pm today (August 29th), will now get underway at 1:00pm on Thursday August 30th. Day 2 will be held on Friday August 31st at 1:00pm.

Along with the schedule change comes slight changes to the tournament structure. Day 1 in the event will now continue until the final table of 9 players is established. At this time, the players will bag their chips to return for Day 2, which will play down to a winner on a single table. Late registration and re-entries in the tournament will continue to be available until the end of level 12.

Event #4 in the 2018 WSOP-C Playground is the $5,000 + $300 Super High Roller. This is a two-day event in which players may enter or re-enter during all 8 levels of Day 1 and through to the beginning of level 12 on Day 2. Players start with 250,000 in tournament chips and will be playing for a share of the $250,000 guaranteed prize pool.
